Not doing his loyalty mission of course, but at what point in the Suicide Mission should I let him do what?
What's the best way to let Jacob die?

Tell him to destroy the Human-Reaper with his teeth.
That he must pull out and fire from a gun.
Then his limbs.

First round of assignments - tech specialist (a boot to the head!)
Second round - fire team leader

Have him do the solo run through the collector base and Samara lead the 2nd team. Killed my "loyal" Jacob twice closing the door.... shot to the head.
I hate the way my femsheps act around him ... so I didn't want to see him in ME3 around her.
My malesheps let him live.

Indeed. He's the only volunteer, everybody else was recruited at gunpoint.

You can also send him to escort Chakwas and the crew. That'll guarantee his death if non loyal.

Your Shepard has issues.

Best way in my opinion. Let him die in a manner that IS of his own choosing.

No, BW screwed up. They had femshep act like a tart ... a creepy tart .... when she talks to Jacob at his work station. It would be ok if your femshep is flirting or is sexually attracted to Jacob, but absolutely gross otherwise. IMO - so I let him die. But I did let him go on his LM so he was at peace when he died. Keep in mind, he volunteered to play in the vents.

The one time I let him die, he went through the vents and got shot in the face afterwards.
I like Jacob as the every man on board, even if he was all suspicious of Thane. I figured something quick after getting to be a hotshot was the least he deserved.

Shep automatically flirting with Jacob was my reason for letting him die in my first playthrough too.

Maybe it would be better to save him for ME 3 in case they offer a more horrifying death for him. Such as huskification. Like how I decided my canon playthrough would involve saving the council in ME 1 so they would hopefully die horrible deaths in ME 3.

why kill Jacob? I for one am hoping he becomes a squad member in ME3. I saved Ashley in ME1 and I would love to have my 2 favorite soliders in the series kicking ass side by side.

Depends. If for whatever reason you want him dead for story reasons, I'd say sending him through the vents. He volunteered, and a rocket to the face has to be a quick and relatively painless way to go.
If you're killing him off because you just hate the character and want him to suffer, take him for the bubble walk with a non-ideal biotic and let him get swarmed, seems particularly horrific enough.

How can you people hate Jacob? He's the only one on the ship who's not batsh*t insane!

Because my Shepard totally acted creepy around him and that is his fault

So because you hate the way Jennifer Hale voice acted in those scenes, Jacob has to die. That makes zero sense.

If you're going to kill him pick him as the 2nd Team Leader. Whatever his faults he's a good man, let him go down fighting rather than struggling with a door or swarmed by killer bees.
