I first played through the game as a rogue and sided with the mages.  I'd like to replay and side with the templars, but am not finding playing as a warrior to be too interesting.  So, is it possible to play as a mage and still side with the templars and get the achievment for becoming king?

Secondly, blood magic.  Blood magic uses health instead of mana to cast spells, so you would want to put points into constitution rather than willpower to be effective.  But a low willpower will effect your ability to equip mage armour and staves.  How does one get around this?

You can still side with the templars in every way you can as a warrior/rogue while playing a mage. As for blood magic, just put a few points aside into WP and you won't have much trouble with armor. That, or you could get the dlc stuff for mages which doesn't have stat requirements on the armor. Keep in mind I only play on hard or lower, so I don't know if you can afford to spare those point on nightmare.  I bet you could though.

If you've got the Mage Item Pack you'll be able to wear that gear without putting any points in willpower. It's not the only way, of course, but it's the simplest and most effective way.

There are a couple of mages robes that boost blood magic that have a willpower requirement if you want to wear them (odd) and if you want to use the Champion's Mantle later you will need I think 31 willpower otherwise just pump your consitution & magic.
