Yes, just to see how creative bioware can be. I want to see them take a chance and create a truly spectacular cutscene of the destruction of the galaxy. Not just a picture of the Earth on fire, but a scene from the ground watching as destruction rains down.

no. it'd probably be really dumb.
reminds me of the end of fallout 3 where you for no apparent reason have the option to kill everyone when theres literally no logical reason for doing so.

Well the reapers actually (I HOPE SO) got a reason. And the reapers always want shepard alive, why? :D

I would like it (the more different endings, the better), but I wouldn't do it. Never.

Actually they just want his body (dead or alive). Presumably to use his awesome genetic material for the human-reaper.

I don't see how that would work. As the reapers just want to destroy all civilisation all you'd have to do is die in order to help them.

I wouldn't want that ending for myself but it would be interesting to see Shepard go down the same route as Saren.

Working with reapers? After spending two games fighting them? That would be just stupid.

The "oh sh*t I fuk'd up now we are all going to die ending" on the other hand yes I would like to see a ending where reapers win.

fallout 3 has **** writing. Bioware games have that to in recent games but not that bad.

As long as there was a good reason to pick that option, it could be an interesting end. But if it was just there for having the option to no.

No. It would be like an ending where you have a nice dinner of burning hot fire. It would make no sense.

Unless the Reaper's goals are different from what we know. It might be that there is a more deadly force at work in the universe and the Reapers do what they do to combat it...

Well, I'd rather let the reapers win than have a "victory through sacrifice". That might count.

Yeah I'd be open to that. There should be four or five endings including one where everything is lost, Shepard destroys all the reapers, the war lasts for decades but roganics win, war lasts for decades and both sides annihilate each other, Shepard controls the Reapers and rules the Galaxy, Shepard revives the human reaper and fights back. etc.

Really? I don't think that would be interesting at all. Seeing Shepard break down and become indoctrinated would make me feel like Obi Wan at the end of Episode III, with one of those "You were my brother!!" moments. Total betrayal.

If anything I'd say Shepard has a high tolerance, if not immunity, to indoctrination due to his experiences in ME1 with the beacons. I would have never thought anyone playing ME would ever want to see Shepard become indoctrinated.

To answer the OP: No, there is no working with the Reapers. You either become their pawn or are destroyed. They see themselves as gods, and all other life as something lower. Sure I'd want an option where Shepard and the galaxy are defeated by the Reapers, but an option to side with the Reapers? If that happened I'd want the protagonist to be the guy who fights against Shepard, just like Shepard did against Saren.

Play ME2, in the first few minutes you'll realize they want him dead. Play a little more and you'll realize the Reapers grow a personal grudge against Shepard which borders on hatred and loathing. "I know you feel this Shepard."

They really want him alive, in battle you can hear Harbringer say 'Preserve Shepard's body if possible' And in Arrival thay could have killed him easily...

If there´s a reasonable reason, of course, why not! Adds to the diversity ;)

Yes. You can't always win so this ending could add to all the possible bad endings.

I wonder if we find out what created the reapers in ME3. Actually, that would ruin the mystery of the whole trilogy so I would say that I'm against that.

Like I said, I wouldn't want that ending personally but it would be interesting to see Shepard turn into what he fought against in the first game due to the desperation of the situation, just like Saren.

Working with them ala the collectors or working with them asin helping to build, and then becoming part of, a human reaper?
