Hm. It would be cool to have that as one of the "Critical Mission Failure" endings. But not by choice, no way. That would be completely OOC for Shepard.

Absolutely NOT!

Whole point of the trilogy is to stop the Reapers! No matter what!

There is no working with the reapers, you either oppose them and try to fight, and be destroyed, indoctrinated, turned into a hybrid machine or husk or whatever nasty surprises the reapers have in store. Unless your name is Shepard of course, or you join them, in which case you'll be indoctrinated, turned into a slave and eventually you'll be destroyed.

Short answer: Working with reapers = pointless

Sounds like a good idea, although if it happens I would want to be 'Reaperised' into the controlling force of the Human-Reaper. How awesome (or terrible) would it be to then have to play as a Reaper during the final few missions after complete failure assisting the harvest of the Galaxy.

In fact what if you as the reaper where destroy the Normandy SR-2 and your entire team (if they are still alive at this point).

just an idea before you all rage and burn.

EDIT: corrected some grammer

Not just "NO." or "YES".

I don't really see a good avenue for this to happen. If they can pull it off though, it would be cool.

"Working with the reapers" needs to be cooler than indoctrination or being Saren or their pawn or something.

To work with the Reapers, Shepard must be transformed into a living God. Basically become a Reaper herself. Otherwise it's just a dumb move for Shep.

Shepard: I am a Biotic God
Reaper:???????
Shepard: I will sweep you aside like a great wind
Reaper: You cant be serious, please. Theres only one Biotic GOD..........Blasto.

Bad joke I know.

No...well maybe if they can come up with a good reason but I can’t think of any reason why anyone would work with them besides just being suicidal and hating everyone. Unless things change it dosn't fit for any Shepard to work with them really.

Maybe. It really depends on how things get worked out; but it would seem unlikely the Reapers will yield to a compromise which is the only for Shepard to make the deal reasonable.

Let's say the Reapers say: Ok, Sheppy you humans are total bad asses, let us Reap the rest of the Galaxy and we'll leave you alone... promise! You end up with the usual teen blood drawing and swearing some stupid oath (like marriage for example) and the rest of the Galaxy get's royally ****ed.

Seems renegade, but it requires a compromise by the Reapers. Stupid machines don't compromise.

I actually would yes. They are trying to elevate us and not wipe us out, so I would like an ending where I could choose that ending for some of my sheps. Not my main one though.

They don't want to leave us alone. They want to make us into them thats the whole point of their invasion. Any deal that doesn't inlcude that end is something they wont agree to.

Why would the Reapers want Shepard to work for them? If Shepard is defeated, they can just harvest the life as they did many times before and get the f*** out :P

I can't come up with a good reason why Shepard should work with them, but that doesn't mean Bioware can't soooo sure, I really like many different endings.

I would love to see an ending where, worst case scenario, Shep becomes a husk and all of humanity is lost as well as the galaxy. A closeup of Husk-Shep taking down Garrus or Ash/Kaidan and then fade to black would be schweet!

Yes, as long as Shepard is the prominent personality of the Reaper he becomes.  The Reapers offer perfection, ascension, freedom from all weakness and immortality,  You cannot begin to comprehend their exist.  Don't you want that?

I'd have to make an ultra renegade sociopath with no romance or bromance.

And the reapers always want shepard alive, why? :D

Play ME2, in the first few minutes you'll realize they want him dead. Play a little more and you'll realize the Reapers grow a personal grudge against Shepard which borders on hatred and loathing. "I know you feel this Shepard."

They really want him alive, in battle you can hear Harbringer say 'Preserve Shepard's body if possible' And in Arrival thay could have killed him easily...

Preserve his BODY. Not take him alive. Also, the intro to ME2 is probably not a good recipe for even that.

Arrival WAS pretty weird, but given all that fighting, you know with railguns, I don't think taking Shep alive was a necessity.
