Hello there.

I've just finished DA: Origins and thought about creating a new character to play each DLC and then Awakening. Does our choices in Origins reflect much in the other modules? Will I miss much of the fun if I abandon my dwarf (and all it's story) and start playing with a mage?

Can only speak for the two I played so far:

Awakening - some cosmetic aspects (bit of dialogue and one npc) were made to conform with the choices I made. There was no real influence on the plot as far as I noticed, though. Felt like I could have played with a new chara just fine.

Soldiers Peak - none at all.

Nothing really game-changing happens but I'd recommend importing into Awakening and Witch Hunt, for story sake, Witch Hunt at very least. It really doesn't matter in Golems since it's basically just a dungeon crawl.

In Witch Hunt, it's definitely better to import. The story just doesn't have the same impact with a character who never knew Morrigan.

You probably will get extra levels, at minimum. Your new character would start at level 18, I think, while your Warden should be at least level 20,and maybe as high as 24.

Yeah, you really should. Origins is best experienced as the Warden's Story, playing Origins (with Soldier's Peak, The Stone Prisoner and Return to Ostagar) then importing into Awakening, then into Golems of Amgarrak, before concluding that Warden's story (for now) in Witch Hunt. It does make a big impact on the story. As Rakhasa said, the levels too. A typical Warden import would be level 23/24 to import into Awakening, compared with 18 with the Orlesian Warden. And with Golems, you start at level 20 compared to level 35 (if you do Awakening first). It makes a big difference.

Awakening carries off a few months after Origins, and there are many references to the events in the main game. After saving Ferelden from the blight, they go off to become the Warden Commander of Amaranthine. If you start with a new character, they are not the great hero, but an Orlesian warden who came to help rebuild the order, and many distrust them due to their background, while everyone knows about what the Origins warden did.

So, I recommend importing, though it's not essential.

And doesn't the modules get too easy playing with a warden that many levels higher than the orlesian one?
Is there a chronological order like SirLogical said, Awakening - Golems - Witch Hunt?

Thank y'all for the help!

The order is Awakening - Golems - Witch Hunt, also if you import from Origins to Awakening you get the extra 20 attribute points from the quest in Origins, which can be redistributed in Awakening to your liking.

Import through the progression. You might as well. Then when you're done you can delete all the saves except Witch Hunts and play through the other stuff as a new guy or import.

You should definitely import your Warden from Origins. In fact, it's best (as in, most logical) to take that character through Origins, Awakening, Golems, and Witch Hunt (in that order).

Dragon Age scales your enemies depending on your level.

But I like the level disparity. Origins Warden is the great Hero of Ferelden, dragon killer, destroyer of the Archdemon, and so on.

The new guy is just some Orlesian mook they send when the real hero is busy somewere.

In Witch Hunt, it's really really important.

Just one of quite a few reasons being whether you, of any gender, hated or loved Morrigan, it's a much better ending as someone who knew her than as a random Orlesian.
