The only chance we'll ever get to play a dwarf again is the return of selection from multiple races.

And I want the whole game to take place in Orzimmar. If Bioware is going to force us to play who they want us to play and play in one place then at least make it fun.
Well, the game would fail without tanning bed salons, oh the vanity of it all!

This will never happen - which makes me sad, as I love playing a dwarf and would be delighted to have a whole DA game take place in Orzammar. However, according to BioWare's data only 5% of DAO players ever chose the dwarf options. This is a tragedy, in my opinion, since those origins contain some of the best writing in the game. Apparently most people just don't like being short?

Why is that 5% a tragedy? I for one never played that race, though I played DA:O through 14 times and I never felt any tragedy over that. The race just doesn't appeal to me and being gimped (though canon in DA), the Dwarves cannot perform magic and I prefer playing the role of the mystic type anyway. It isn't that people hate Dwarves perse, just that it isn't very preferrable more for not being able to play all of the classes.. I don't know, the romance for Dwarves just seemed awkward to me as well, but that is just me.

Though I agree with you, you lose credibility based on your avatar. It's so very ironic.

The Dwarf Origin stories were great. I don't love dwarves in general, but I felt attached to their personal stories, culture, and lack of stupid stereotypical accent.
Doesn't mean I want the the whole game to be about dwarves, but I'd probably find it more interesting given dwarven culture.
Like Brent Knowles said: "Humans are boring."

Avatars invalidate words, now that's certainly an interesting application to reading. Maybe I should use the clown dwarf avatar?

Don't worry, your avatar symbolizes precisely the kind of demographic BioWare wanted to target with DA 2.

Why is that 5% a tragedy?
Because the writing in the dwarven origins is some of the best in the game, in my opinion. I think those two are my favourites of the six. It saddens me that 95% of players never saw those stories.

I'm sure most people did. They played through the dwarf origins, enjoyed the story they offered but did not feel like playing as a dwarf for the rest of the 50 hour game.

And perhaps you're correct, though opinion and I think that's fine. It's just that the physical look and the ability to be able to play two classes may play a larger role in why I didn't want to play taht Origin. I personally think the Elvhen Origins was the best and I could read the codex anyway for the Dwarves. For me anyway, it was simply taste. Romance is a must in RPGs for me, take that out and I probably don't want to play. It may be just appearance bias on my apart as well, but I just cannot see romance witha dwarf, since I can only relate myself to being a human. This may be a bit obtuse and it isn't because I don't like the "little people", but I just could never see myself having romance with someone that is more than 2' shorter than I am while being more rotund in proportion, there's something to be said about attraction. (Man I hope that doesn't come across as being bigoted, but I just don't know how else to put it).
