I'd rather have a choice to choose race again.
Dwarf was my least favourite, but even if you were a dwarf in DA3, I'd still buy it - but still, I'd like to choose.

Will never happen. You will get a caucasian, human male 22-35 years old, just like 98% of all video games ever made. Sad but true, because that is what most gamers "identify" with.

Well I want my protagonist to be a dalish elf who picks his nose with the end of his bow and scrapes the wax out of his ears by his arrows but that ain't going to happen either. So try to deal with it.

I can play as an elf when it comes to it, but I don't last long. I get anoyyed with the racial slur and height differences.

Same with Dwarf, there small. And size proportions to me don't appeal, but they do have some nice stat boosts.

It'll never happen... but it'd be ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. While I play human, primarily, the dwarven origin stories were the best by a considerable margin. An entire game of that would make me ridiculously happy.

And the main problem people have with playing dwarves is the whole "being short" thing. If most of the other characters you encounter are also dwarves, and you're in a dwarven city, that's almost entirely mitigated.

They do, that's why they didn't bother with them in DA2.

that said I'm 99% sure Cassandra will be the main character in 3 since 2 practically set it up.

Why would Cassandra be the protagonist? That eliminates character customization which has already been streamlined to to near extinction.

I'm glad the OP moved on. Bring back race choices but don't force the least chosen race on us.

Were not going to be Cassandra, but we may be a Seeker. Which boils down to us being Human again...

With the new DA anime coming out it seems like Cassandra will likely be the driving force behind DA3's plot... infact part of the reason behind having Cassandra as the focus for the anime could be to humanise her more much like the -Pre-DAO books did for Loghain. 

How ever, that doesn't necessarily mean we'll be a seeker. We could be a hired gun or some one ropped in to helping her at the beginning (putting some character customisation back in), which also leads to the possiblity of betraying the chantry later on for those who have an obsessive hatred of it.

I sincerely doubt we'll ever be forced to play a devout Andrastian in a DA game. We might be forced to be a Seeker, but how the character feels about this will be up to the player. It's not like Hawke or the human Wardens have to profess belief in the Chantry. (Well, outside of Diplomatic Hawke's combat barks, anyway.)

It could be like the City Elf origin's arranged marriage - the PC has found themselves in this situation, but how they react to it is up to you.

 Dwarves, and Humans are very boring and overrused in videogames, and are very sterotypical in Dragon Age. I only play elves because Bioware was able to make them not have "mystical race that are beautiful and have lived peacefully in the woods forever" that most games have. I really would like to see more elvishness. And how come nobody has mentioned Qunari yet? Sure their big scary demon people that like to conquer everything but I do find the Qun interesting and we havent really seen much of their culture. We have yet to see female ones also.

Bring back race selection! It's the main reason I didn't pre-order or even buy Dragon Age 2. As soon as I heard they were going with the Mass Effect style of character creation, I completely backed off and swore the game off.

Which, I'm glad I did. In retrospect, the lack of that feature probably saved me $60. As I later played the game after borrowing it from a friend and quite honestly? It's terrible.

A dwarf could be sweet; I just prefer playing as mages in most games, which Dwarves have been barred from. Too bad we don't get a sweet Dwarvern Cleric who professes his love for the Stone with explosives. Grenadier class, ho!

As for playing as a Seeker.... No, just no. Out of all of my characters, the only *true* Andrastian was the Human Noble (who still didn't open a Chantry when he could). If we must believe in the Chantry, can't we choose between the Orlasian Chantry & the Tevinter one? Heck, a Dwarf (unless born on the surface) would probably be a Stone worshiper, a Dalish would have his Creators.

I'd play an elf before a dwarf. I actually like the elves a lot but I also like the humans. Never really liked dwarfs, Gimly being an exception to that of course.
