When I get in a tough fight, sometimes I click on mouse before I have the enemy targeted, this causes me to MOVE to a new location, which is not what I wanted.

Is there anyway to disable moving in response to a mouse click on empty ground?

thnx

don't click the mouse.

or use R ( or user-indicated hotkey )

or pause the gaming and very carefully position your 5000dpi mouse over the target you want...and....click!

...need a stiff drink. or a bath after this.

The idea was real time combat, using arrow keys for movement, and mouse for targeting/attack, targeting specific enemy (not necessarily the closest); but when I "miss" a monster and click on the ground, instead of an attack, it moves me - wasting time and possibly putting me in a poor position.

Anyway, go take your bath, and be sure to soak your head while you're at it

I'd also like to prevent mouse clicks from moving my character.

It bugged me that much, I stopped playing, but rumours of Dragon Age 3 have attracted me, so I'd like to do DA2 first.

It's kinda tied into the control scheme. It's for people who prefer to play tactically, with the camera way far up, and move their characters with clicks. Which doesn't really work with the camera stuck to each character, but that's why. They're probably not going to switch to Witcher controls any time soon. Sorry.

Damn - Shame, it looks like a great game.

Anyway, they don't have to SWITCH, just add them as an option.  So people can chose what best suites them,
