Not-so-flattering Editorial about ME3 expectations and BioWare in general

Pinnacle Station was an outsourced product to DemiUrge Studios. BioWare didn't even develop it. They did endorse it and add it as part of the game, but they had (nearly) no hand in making it.
This "writer" shouldn't just be ignored, he should be mocked and ridiculed. He's not only delusionally lost as to what is to come for the ME franchise, but he's shown himself to not even be a true fan of the series's past.

Oh noes, DICE gave some tips to Bioware how to make realistic sound effects for guns. It must be dumb down shooter then!
They're giving us weapon attachments! DUMBING DOWN!

Let's just hope this is just paranoid speculation, but DA2 did infact happen afterall.

Look, I thought Dragon Age 2 was a mess too (although streamlining was far from the only or biggest problem with it), but ME3 is being made by a different team on a reasonable development schedule. And unlike the lead-up to DA2, all evidence suggests that the game is in fact increasing in depth as opposed to be streamlined. A single statement from a corporate CEO - uninvolved with the actual game development - trying to reassure investors after one of their biggest and best-selling titles has been delayed into the next year doesn't change that.
So no, the only reason to think the overall message or concerns are correct is if you're paranoid about anything Bioware does now (which is your prerogative, although I personally would separate the ME and DA IPs when complaining), or like I said, already predisposed to not like ME3.

Yes because guns are supposed to meow when you fire them.
I'm not even a person who has ever played Mass Effect, and I think this article is beyond asenine.
Note: I'm expecting someone to quote me with a link to a certain video game.

People don't seem to understand what makes an RPG an RPG... Mass Effect has always been an RPG. I disagree with anyone who tries to tell me that it's losing it's RPG-ness, but then I guess I define it differently than other people. All I know is I've played a lot of RPGs over the years and Mass Effect has never struck me as anything but pure RPG.

It's remarkable how some of the so called "RPG hardcore fanbase" seems to think that improvements such as Audio FX that are generated based on where the gun is shot, and how far,
This "editorial" is nothing more than a gamer who's obviously firmly in "RPG is teh bestest" land and refuses to acknowledge that Mass Effect has never been just an RPG. This heavy bias towards RPG's can only hurt RPG's in the long run. How many Elder Scrolls clones will it take before they realize that inspiration and trying new things is a good thing?
you should start playing ME1 on hardcore or insanity and see what RPG really means... anyone can shoot, but unless you know what to hit your enemies with, you won't make it through the first half of the game.
ME1 was a great RPG... ME2 was an action-RPG with a great story and nothing else (in ME1 I actually felt better the more levels I had, on the other hand, no matter the level my character had in ME2 if I got hit 2 times by the lowliest enemy, I'd be close to death... this is opposite to every RPG anywhere).
I'm still hoping they'll get back to the basics. mainstream is the death of creativity
the article is dead-on and we should keep the pressure on EA in order for them to stop ****in' up Bioware's products:police:
