Very frustrating to find a post.   Using the search engine can't find a thread.

I tried to search with

mage AND can't AND cast AND spells   (boolean search in this day of search engines? really?)

then

(mage can't cast spells)

and couldn't turn up any results. 

If you google the topic more than one person's written about it on the "old" forum.  Maybe none so far here?

You are complaining about a WEB SITE problem in a forum about a GAME.  Take all such subjects where they belong, please:  social.bioware.com/forum/1/category/6/index/P/1

Or to the "Old" Web Site's equivalent forum: swforums.bioware.com/viewforum.html

Yeah I miss the old forum too... Search here is disabled, if you look around there's a post about it somewhere in this GAME forum website!

Actually, PARTS of the Search are now more or less working, but it is a limited tool at this point.

 Yes, it's on a website,  and it's about a game, which most gaming forums are.   So what? 

We had a good functioning community forum that was ganked in favor of this clunky slow moving social media suckhole.   You may love how impossible it is to find information,  I do not.

Gorath,  yes, I can "deal with it" or give up,  if that means not having a search engine is ok then every bug is justified. 

Whatever,  I was on the old forumn  for YEARS.  This one is broken.  If you're happy with searching down page after page for something hopefully relevant to your problem Go. For. It.

BTW,  your first link is wrong (takes you to KOTOR site) and if your second one is for the search engine it doesn't work.

I have a question, is the information from the old side still there? Is it possibly archived somewhere or transferred over? There were a lot of good topics in the old forums and its a shame to just lose them forever.

If I recall the sticky advising of the move stated that the posts would be archived. I have not tried to go back to those forums to find out however.

Only the General Subjects forum are actually archived where they can be reached.  At least once, a claim was made that the other three were also now available, but it was not true.

You are about the third person with a huge need for a new prescription for your spectacles to make the same silly error, ROTFLMAO.  It is that of all the color schemes that forum might travel in, that one is most readable for me.

These new forums are badly broken. The lack of a working search function makes it far harder to look for solutions - not that there is much "Technical Support" being offered anyway.

Are you confusing Self-Help with something else?  Bioware hasn't had official tech forums in I don't know how long, if they ever have had!

There is some SEARCH functionality, with all kinds of limitations, but it's better than nothing.
