*Note: This is assuming that BIoware goes back to their Dragon Age:Origins roots of 50 hour long playthroughs and silent protagonist. Also I'm bored and I just felt like posting this, so cut me some slack please. Thanks bros.

So being bored I decided to make a story outline for Dragon Age III. Hopefully the game will have a creative name for Dragon Age III that isn't "Dragon Age III." Anyways, lets go.
So lets start with the basics.

Character

We had "The Warden", in Origins, "The Champion" in II, and because of the ending of DA2 I'm going to safely assume that this time around, our character is "The Seeker".
The Seeker can be male or female, dwarf, elf, or human, and is NOT VOICED!
The Seeker can be a mage, rogue, or warrior.
The Seeker is an Orlesian.
The Seeker comes from one origin, which I still haven't imagined yet. This means no six unique origins to choose from.

Story

The Warden and The Champion both have dissappered. A massive war between the templars and the mages have erupted. Orlais is in chaos. The player will go through a 30-40 minute long intro (Similar to Origin's six unique backgrounds) that ends up with meeting Cassandra, a member of the Seekers, to join the seekers. She tells you of the dissapperance of Hawke, the mighty champion of Kirkwall, has gone missing. In order to end this war, Hawke must come back to settle the score. Leliana, another member of the seekers, also mentions the dissappearance of the Hero of Ferelden, a Grey Warden, that killed the Archdemon with a small group of companions. The player must join the seekers to find Hawke, and hopefully the Warden.
The first half of the main quest revolves around investigating the dissappearance of the Warden. The Second half revolves around investigating the dissappearance of Hawke.

Importing

Dragon Age III Will have an import feature similar to Dragon Age II's. There will also be three pre built histories, similar to DAII.

"Champion of Kirkwall": Hawke was a decisive male mage who sided with the mages.
"Maiden of Kirkwall": Hawke was a sarcastic female rogue who sided with the mages.
"Knight of Kirkwall": Hawke was an aggresive male warrior who sided with the templars.

(Starting) Companions

Leliana - Is a Bard Rogue from Orlais. She is one of the first companions you get. Leliana is a seeker and "Lady Nightingale", a servant of the Divine. Leliana was friends and possibily lover to the Hero of Ferelden. It's both personal and politically to find the Warden.

Leliana is Romanceable EVEN if she is in a relationship with the Warden. I'll think of something to fix that later.

Cassandra - is a Champion Warrior (that part was assumed) from Nerravr. She's a seeker obsessed with finding The champion to put a stop to the erupting war. She's a no nonsense lady that wants to get the job done fast. She thinks that trying to find the Warden is a waste and is regularly in arguement with Leliana.

Cassandra is romanceable.

*Will update later. I'm tired and I also want to know what you guys think so far. Sorry if this is a waste of forum space because it's so stupid. I was bored. Who can blame that?

I like it. It makes sense and it's not-at-all stupid.

PS: That was NOT sarcasm :D

The Seeker is an Orlesian.

No.

@KloieKat Thanks! I'll type up more if I see this is gaining more attention. If not, I'll just let it sink to the bottom.

@Baconer Would you prefer Nevarran? I was deciding between that and Orlesian but decided Orlesian was the better choice, in my opinion.

That sounds like it would work. How would the Warden be voiced? Maybe instead of talking, our Warden can have dialogue bubbles above their heads lol. It would make sense for the Seeker to be Orlesian, since that's where the Divine and the Grand Cathedral is, but it would be cool if we could choose our nationality: Fereldan, Orlesian, Antivan, etc.

Maybe Bioware can get some ideas from this, but I'm sure they already have a plan for the story line. Oh well, it's still fun to imagine what will happen.

@tek Thanks for the feedback, When I was brainstorming all this I imagined that while investigating what happened to your Warden, The Seeker finds out that he/she has been dead for a long period of time. I thought this would be an easy way to avoid casting roles to voice act the Warden, and it also gives reason to be able to romance Leliana if she was with the Warden, because otherwise it would have been cheating. Although I imagine that killing off your original main character would've pissed people off. So I'm still trying to figure out what happens to our trusty Warden.

I'm not a fan of my Warden being dead. Maybe, it's time for him to head into the deep roads to die like the Wardens do, but it would be good for Leliana to catch up with him one last time before he heads down into the deep roads.

As for the voice acting, didn't we choose a voice set? If so have the voice actors that they used for those sets in DA:O voice the dialogue, yes it makes for several recordings but it would add so much more to the story and it would be right.

What? Why is the templar-supporter called the "Tyrant of Kirkwall?" This idea is politically biased...

Edit:  The "Champion" background has you slaughtering most of the city's military forces, release lawfully detained mages, and flee the city after leaving it in shambles... ok.

I would like it if the character was voiced, but the player was given a list of various voices to choose from. Maybe 3 each.

@ Icy Ah, I see you support the templars. Well, that's a different discussion for a different thread.

Heh heh, fair enough... I don't mean to de-rail things, so I'll just leave it at that.

Oh, and just so I'm slightly on-topic, I see your idea as pretty much what DA3 should look like... this is probably the most logical way to do it, if they continue the plots we've seen so far.

I do like this. It makes sense and sounds the premise sounds like it could really work as a sequel.

Icy, how do you feel about "knight of kirkwall"?

Also, thanks for the feedback guys! Hopefully we can see this bumped up a bit.

How about the Qunari? Have they evolved further? Do they look like Longhorn cattle now? What about the elves? Can they fly? With their giant freaky deaky elf ears I mean? You're talking all like story and stuff; I think it would be cool if the Qunari just artistically evolved into culturally intolerant cattle that we could like ride into battle and stuff..basically I want my own Qunari Battle Cow and I want to name him Bevo. Of course Bevo will probably not give a toss about recreating the Tevinter Imperium so I guess it doesn't fit into your narrative. Oh well.

@101ezylon Mind explaining? Not saying you're wrong, just curious on what I can work on to make it better

@dreadpiratesnugglecakes Never thought much of the Qunari honestly. I'll try to think of fitting them into the story, maybe make them a little "side quest" like in Origins.

I love it, except for one thing. You should not spend half of the game looking for warden, then the other half for Hawke, they should be together.
But while you look for them since the world is in a state of war you should have to be helping towns and stuff like that

I like it so far except for the orlesian part... promise none of them will sound like Isolde!

I think trying to find or even rescue?? Warden and Hawke would be a good way to bring it all together.

What about male companions?? I don't think my seeker would be interested in Leliana or Cassandra.

@RPGrogue Thanks, noted. I believe that the whole "half this half that" thing would fit with Bioware's theme (IE ME2, first half, half of the companions, second half, half of the companions) but I suppose that can take a backseat :P

@wildannie Thanks, and as for male companions, I know for a fact we'll need a new Alistair. :P

Hm.. maybe. I'd rather have it so you can be involved in the war on the mages or templars side. But there is no way they'd split it into two like that. Also I prefer voiced.

Really the only thing that wouldn't make sense is Leliana being your companion. While that would be cool, it seems to be that she is a very big shot. Maybe 2nd only to the divine? So why would she follow a recruit? Origins made sense because Alistair was a cry baby who can't tie his shoes.
