***SPOILERS FOR ME3 FOLLOW***

So here's the deal...I am replaying ME and ME2 for my canon import into ME3.  I romanced Liara in the first game and I am trying to debate whether to stay faithful to her or to go with Jack, who imo, is the sweetest LI scenario in the second game.  However, I want a good resolution to the romance in the third installment and even though Bioware has promised a fulfilling resolution for all LI's, I have to be skeptical.  Jack, despite being an awesome character, will likely not be in the game a lot, while Liara is a CONFIRMED SQUADMATE!  I think both are equally interesting characters, so it is more a matter of getting the most bang for my buck at this point.  At the risk of sounding pathetic...help!  Image IPB

Two full playthroughs IMO. One to stay faithful to Liara, one to go after Jack.

Go with Jack. She's the one that obviously appeals to you more, and maybe you'll get Liara to freak out and get herself killed. Bonus!

My vote is for Liara. It's pretty badass and sexy that she's the new Shadow Broker. I'm all about that.

Go Jack. Asari get less sexy the more you start thinking about what sex with them would entail. (Such as the lack of a vagina or similar sex organ.)

You should go with the one you like the most, IMO.

And I read somewhere that Jack is confirmed as a squadmate.

Apparently they have all the bits. And no, it doesn't make a lot of sense.

Well, a birth canal does. The azure doesn't.

Thanks for all the advice. I think I will do LotSB early on (not the convo with Liara on the Normandy tho; always save that for after the SM) and end it amicably with Liara. I'll get my bittersweet break with the past and then I can romance Jack guilt-free. Her romance scene is by far the most powerful.

Why doesn't it make sense? They still have to give birth, you know.

+1

Asari define mind-f'ed. Sorry but I think Liara is too damn sweet. I love her, and I romanced her in ME1 and affirmed in LoTSB.

Nice!  I almost passed on Jack because of her unpopularity, too.  I never thought she'd be more than an email in ME3, but she was so perfect for my Shepard, I just thought, "Well...Shepard's not psychic.  He'd go for the one he wanted and see how the cards play out."  No guts, no glory...right?

That said, you can always play ME3 with straight Liara choices in the PS3-type comic they're going to have.

Jack.

Since it seems that is who you really like, and I'm sure she is showing up in Mass Effect 3 as a squaddie.

Think of the children. Do you want your kids to live a hundred years, or a thousand? Do you want your children to call Jack "Mama?" What do you think Jack would make of that? Hell, she hasn't hardly anything to mama with.   And do you know all the ways she's been modified by Cerberus?

Let's make a bunch of asaris.

I'd say go for Jack, but I don't like the ME1 romance options.

And to be completely honest, I am waiting for potential epic lulz that comes when past and present LIs meet, so yeah.

Because they do not get impregnated the same way.

Jack is hotter and IMO is a way better character

The Asari are a lie and just one big mind-f**k no pun intended.

Jack and Liara are nothing alike. Liara is a shy, introverted scientist and Jack is a mentally disturbed sociopath. I would have thought it would be easy enough to decide which one would appeal to your Shepard more. I can't imagine how the same person could be attracted to both!

Three male Shepard playthroughs, and each single one ended up with Jack in the end. I tried, I really tried staying faithful to Liara or Tali, but it never works...

For me Jack is the most interesting character in ME2.

But I think Liara's romance is the deepest in the series.

Two playthroughs :wizard:
