So here's the deal...I am replaying ME and ME2 for my canon import into ME3. I romanced Liara in the first game and I am trying to debate whether to stay faithful to her or to go with Jack, who imo, is the sweetest LI scenario in the second game. However, I want a good resolution to the romance in the third installment and even though Bioware has promised a fulfilling resolution for all LI's, I have to be skeptical. Jack, despite being an awesome character, will likely not be in the game a lot, while Liara is a CONFIRMED SQUADMATE! I think both are equally interesting characters, so it is more a matter of getting the most bang for my buck at this point. At the risk of sounding pathetic...help!

And I read somewhere that Jack is confirmed as a squadmate.

Apparently they have all the bits. And no, it doesn't make a lot of sense.Dean_the_Young wrote...
Go Jack. Asari get less sexy the more you start thinking about what sex with them would entail. (Such as the lack of a vagina or similar sex organ.)

Well, a birth canal does. The azure doesn't.

Why doesn't it make sense? They still have to give birth, you know.Malanek999 wrote...

Asari define mind-f'ed. Sorry but I think Liara is too damn sweet. I love her, and I romanced her in ME1 and affirmed in LoTSB.

Nice! I almost passed on Jack because of her unpopularity, too. I never thought she'd be more than an email in ME3, but she was so perfect for my Shepard, I just thought, "Well...Shepard's not psychic. He'd go for the one he wanted and see how the cards play out." No guts, no glory...right?jdunn1 wrote...
Thanks for all the advice. I think I will do LotSB early on (not the convo with Liara on the Normandy tho; always save that for after the SM) and end it amicably with Liara. I'll get my bittersweet break with the past and then I can romance Jack guilt-free. Her romance scene is by far the most powerful.
That said, you can always play ME3 with straight Liara choices in the PS3-type comic they're going to have.

Since it seems that is who you really like, and I'm sure she is showing up in Mass Effect 3 as a squaddie.

And to be completely honest, I am waiting for potential epic lulz that comes when past and present LIs meet, so yeah.

Not a sociopath.Thrombin wrote...
Jack and Liara are nothing alike. Liara is a shy, introverted scientist and Jack is a mentally disturbed sociopath. I would have thought it would be easy enough to decide which one would appeal to your Shepard more. I can't imagine how the same person could be attracted to both!

But I think Liara's romance is the deepest in the series.
