thats what I'm thinking. In fact that might be one of there primary reasons for changing his name.javierabegazo wrote...

Well, Miranda's last name changed when they decided to get Yvonne in to be her. Could be they've finally cast and actor for the role and in similar vein decided to change the character more to suit his voice.
I wonder if that means there never was any connection at all to Kahlee Sanders

and that's a very good thing indeed.

I only wonder why they didn't think of that before.

My understanding is that BioWare has specifically said he isn't.
Edit: @ Someone with Mass: sorry. I think we hit the button at the same time.

It could have been something sneaky, but I'm betting they just forgot there was a Kahlee Sanders. The dev team doesn't write those books, and Drew moved to Texas.
Not to mention there was some generic NPC named Williams in the Arrival DLC, though there was no relation to Ashley Williams.

Not too much of a fan of that surname at all. It just sounds really odd.
I quite liked Sanders. But if the storyline isnt one there going down (ie related in some way to Kayleigh) Then I guess it would make sense to change it.
Oh and the Dev quote. "The Sniper in the Trailer isnt James Sanders"
Your right it isnt anymore. They could be sneaky because the sniper is now James Vega!
