Well, Miranda's last name changed when they decided to get Yvonne in to be her. Could be they've finally cast and actor for the role and in similar vein decided to change the character more to suit his voice.
I wonder if that means there never was any connection at all to Kahlee Sanders
Here I was hoping he'd be her long-lost half-brother, as well as the revelation that Jon Grissom's brother was the founder of KFC.
Ugh.

Let's hope Vega isn't a Spanish/latino character addicted to a science-fiction drug portrayed by a Spanish actor (Referring to Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun) .
*Facepalm*
You do realize that the Spanish and Latinos are not the same people right? First starters, look at a map and find where Spain is in relation to Latin America. Not to mention the obvious differences in height, skin, hair, and eye color. And also the way and how they speak the language is completely different. Therefore, the Spanish are European, not Latinos. Ignorance, truly is bliss.

Vega
For some reason i get reminded of Las Vegas...........
The original CSI in Vegas has a Detective Vega. That's who his new surname reminded me of the second I saw this thread.
I do like the change, though. Sounds like a pretty cool name. Hopefully the character is just as cool ;-)

Disappointed it took until page 3 for the Pulp Fiction reference. And also disappointed there's no Reservoir Dogs Mr. Blonde/Vic Vega reference.
I'm equally disappointed.

How about "Vincent" Vega??? To appeal to a wider customer and whatnot.
Kaidan "Rockabilly Star" Alenko would approve!

Great. Now the folks over at Fox news will have material to talk about for at least three weeks. The name Wega (later Vega) comes from a loose transliteration of the Arabic word wāqi‘ meaning "falling" or "landing", via the phrase an-nasr al-wāqi‘ "the alighting vulture".
