It makes it sound like as the player we get no say in him living or dying. The site's credibility is dubious but if anyone could confirm this magazine article it's talking about I'd greatly appreciate it. Personally I don't think Bioware would screw Garrus over like that, he's one of the most popular characters, I'm assuming there'll be at least a couple "Virmire" situations again (leaving someone to die) but Bioware has to give us the choice of who dies...right?
I mean that's what Mass Effect is all about; choices so it would make no sense for them to take that away.

The rumour started on twitter, then this was said afterwards. Seems people took it literally, obviously we have no idea whats going to happen but nothing is confirmed.

Maybe Garrus can die, just like he could in ME2 or maybe there will be choice as in ME1. Another viable option to me would be that paragons get to save him but renegades don't (attonement).

I'm sure that everyone has the capacity to die based on circumstance and choice but I was just worried about the decision being taken away, anyway thanks for clearing this up Zombiegeisha.

It was just a rumour from the OXM magazine speculating wildly. I had a friend who had it early, who told me the information, which I posted in the ME3 confimed features thread, and the fact it was idle speculation was lost in translation.

Don't panic! I can't imagine why BW would kill one of the most famous characters. Well, maybe it would be an epic death, but I'm sure they can write something better. I don't think the only future for a man that it's trying to save the galaxy, his family (and maybe make his father proud of him) is a heroic death. Too typical.

This is just dumb, since there is a possibility for Garrus to die in ME2, there is not point in making him die at 100% in ME3, it would just be a silly writting.
May be it will be like ME2, a possibility depending of the player choice during the game, but nothing more.

Bioware know that ME have a strong replay value, do you realy think they would do that for the last game? It's just stupid.... well from now on, let him die in ME2 if he have no chance to survive ME3.

The one who strated this speculation have no writting skill ...
