You know, as a detractor I find that more than a little presumptuous. God forbid my opinion actually be composed of valid complaints. Nope, I must be ragging on DA2 just because it's the cool thing to do.

I think both the people who loved and hated the game have valid opinions and many times valid reasons for each. (on both sides you'll see a few who just jumped on a bandwagon)  So long as those opinions are shared in a level headed and respectful manner, no one should be dismissed for liking or loathing the game.

What I hate is seeing people who hated the game come in and denounce everyone who enjoyed it as "stupid, simple minded, easily ammused, etc."; the people who enjoyed the game can be equally at fault for simply dismissing critics complaints out of hand.  Both sides need to realize that anyything in the enertainment medium is going to be subject to taste, and yours is no more valid that anyone else's.

Except mine, of course ... my opinion is the most valid.

Oh that attitude gets my two goats and a sheaf of wheat. No, really it does. They take those and I can't make things right. :pinched::D

But I'm mostly here because I heard hugs were being given out.

Hugs? So this is going to be the DA2 love thread? YAY!

And glad to hear you liked it Hanz, I loved it a lot as well. :wizard:

Smiles. Thanks for the input all. I figured this thread would plummet to the 4th page in a day, but I posted because I had to say,"I liked it," just once.

Oh. I misunderstood. If you wanted that then I am sure you were not interested in the actual feedback and were just polite in saying so. You got what you wanted. It didn't fall back to page 4 in no time and you said "I liked it". Therefore I have removed my post. Maybe I can use it in another thread.

Have fun.

Why'd you delete your post?  I liked your post.  It was well constructed and respectful.  You put a lot of thought into it.  It was on-topic.  I hate that you destroyed your work.  You must've thought my post was directed at you instead of at everybody.  classic cyber-networking miscommunication.

I even liked the post where someone made fun of my "bullet points".  It's how I was taught to write patient notes in graduate school, and it's so ingrained in me it never occured to me that it could be off-putting to people from other backgrounds.

I don't think anyone minds when unexpected comments pop up on threads, even if they are off topic.  Only when they become really antagonistic and stupid should they get locked IMO.

Funny how Bioware will always respond to a favourable thread, but you never see them commenting on how crappy the game actually was. :(

I enjoyed DA2 so much, i also enjoyed DAO, Awakening and the DLC.
I like the Dragon Age series very much.

The DA story is wonderful (my compliments to David Gaider and all the other DA writers), there are so many possibilitys for the next games or DLC.

Keep on the good work, Bioware. I'm waiting very impatient for new DA games, expansion, DLC.

If a game scores an 82 on Metacritic it's a universal truth that it's "crappy"? That's an... "interesting" take on things.

Sweet. The Metacritic "argument" again. Guess what, STILL not hopping on the bandwagon.

If a (skewed) "majority" makes or breaks a piece of entertainment, then Lady Gaga is a better singer than Renee Fleming. (Who, you ask? Point proven) <_<

Which is about as accurate as the prediction that the world will end in 2012. User scores mean nothing to me. They never will.

Why's Lady Blah Blah a better singer than Renee Fleming?!Image IPB

Or are you just saying that to prove that the majority listing their complaints in the constructive criticism thread is mistaken about the game's flaws? I'm kinda confused here (haven't had a cup of coffee yet...)

They're just about as accurate to me as most of the modern professional reviews ;)

I am explaining why the Metacritic user score or ANY user score means nothing to me:

Lady Gaga outsells Renee Fleming many, MANY times. Her "user reviews" are also much higher than Renee Fleming's. Does that make her a better singer than Renee Fleming (Universal truth...Metacritic score...bah!) ? No way. So I'll never hop on a user score/review bandwagon regarding ANY game, artist, movie, you name it.

Same here. As in highly inaccurate and useless. I prefer to form my own opinions. ;)
