I am glad that OP loved it. But I didn't. If we compare DA2 with other BW games, it is a small worthless rock among gems and diamonds.
I agree with your opinion. Though i'd mark it as "IMO" next time. Otherwise, people might start flaming you.
I'd think most people with half a brain would know it's their opinion, anyway, and the one's too thick to realize that are easily ignored.

I'm on my fourth playthrough of this game (would be more, but I've sated my curiosity on how the different classes play...although I do still need to play through with a sword-and-board Warrior and an Archer Rogue). I've played through ME2 three times, and I'm also on my fourth one, although that's mostly just so I can get myself set up for Mass Effect 3, and to play the DLC I haven't gotten to yet.
Compare that to, say, the first time I played Xenosaga 2. I lasted for 15 hours before I broke the disc and threw it away in disgust and revulsion.
Dragon Age 2 is a good game, though, which surprised me. (Hell, when Game Informer posted its first preview, you can read the thread I made ranting about it here:
http://killingifrit....-dragon-age-ii/ I'm the guy with the firebird fetish, to avoid any confusion.) Hated the art direction, and the demo pissed me off to no end. When I finally got my hands on the game, though, I liked it enough to beat it 3 times and start on another playthrough.
It has its flaws, but if you think this is a bad game you're probably living in a cave, and only sneaking out into society to purchase Bioware games before scurrying back to your dank hovel. I'll be fair, though; the quality of Bioware's past games is probably the source of the discrepancy between user reviews and industry reviews--only one of those two has to put up the semblance of objectivity, after all. Well, that, and on a psychological level, negative experiences are far more likely to provoke a response than positive ones...
Too long; didn't read version: I like this game. It doesn't titillate my fancy, like a Xenogears remake that actually finished development on the second disc and gave us a refined translation a la the Final Fantasy Tactics remake would, but it's still a damn good game that I intend to play through again as soon as they start actually adding story content. My only real gripes with the game are the repeating areas, the inability to talk to one's companions save for certain quests, and that the soundtrack isn't nearly as striking as DA:O. (Really, Leliana's Song nearly brought me to tears, and the main theme is terribly iconoclastic and beatiful and, thus, memorable.)
Please continue making awesome games like this, Bioware.
