it still feels like if wedge antilles showed up one day while the jedi academy was on yavin iv and said he was a jedi. wedge is a bada** but he aint no jedi. it just aint right..unless you take out the mysticism of the force and replace it with bacteria-like midichlorians then ANYONE can be a jedi...with a transfusion and/or dialysis.
for me...it just takes something out...from the image of the spectres (and what a big deal it was for shep...US...becoming one in ME1). if it happens during ME3 cool beans..i can dig that. if happens before...im not game..i'll loath the idea. First gonna have a tough time having VS back as squadmates (ESPECIALLY without some kind of "less than comfortable" conversation/dialogue choices) ..but then to have them show-up as galactic, and legally recognized, bada** mofos straight from the get-go? Nah man! gonna be hard to swallow. but thats just how i feel bout it.
I respect your opinion. It is straight up.
They helped save the galaxy in ME1, and presumably worked super hard in the last 3 years. And I dunno how much you guys used them as squaddies in ME1, but they were damn good at what they did. Ash was a tank that never died and Kaidan was a jack of all trades that could do so many useful things.
