Haha. Imagine if they added a hanar or elcor squad member :)

Blato. Soldier/Tech/Biotic
I'll never take him off the squad.

I hope they make it clear it was somewhat political. I mean, Shepard's Spectre induction was at least half based on politics.

Maybe once Shepard was dead, humanity needed a new mascot, and who better for the job than one of the humans who helped Shepard defeat Saren? Presumably they'd been doing special missions for the Alliance before that, as evidenced by Horizon.

I hope that Ash/Kaidan don't get full of themselves. Shepard was the original and best.

I would say it makes perfect sense that Ash/Kaidan became Spectres.  After the battle for the Citadel humanity took on a much bigger role in the galaxy.  So naturally it makes sense that they would have a bigger presence as Spectres.

Sure it was nice and special when it was just Shepard as a Spectre but at the end of the day Shepard was just going to be the "first" human that pathed the way for other humans to become Spectres.

In Ash/Kaidan's case they fought alongside Shepard and were pivitol in bringing Saren and Sovereign down.  So it is only natural that they would be recruited into the Spectre ranks.

Old news is old news. But don't tell Elite Midget, he still thinks the rest of the ME1 cast was screwed over.

Just because they got shiny new positions doesn't mean they weren't screwed over.
It's one thing to say that elite goes overboard but its another thing to say there isn't any
truth about what he is rambling about.

Kaidan does outrank shepard in mass effect 2 btw.

There isn't any truth about what he is rambling about.

How 'bout that.

It's safe to assume with what we know so far, that most of your returning squadmates are permanent and returning squadmates.

ashley's a grunt and kaiden's a failed biotic. neither are spectre material and neither outrank shepard as he's been outside the alliance since becoming a spectre.
