So we're stuck with Garrus and Tali... Again. Yawn.

She's also getting a sexy new outfit, her breasts are larger and she's letting her hair down. If things keep going like this she might pull in a large portion of the Miranda fanbase and make herself very popular.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmm no. Bioware did not tell anyone to **** themselves.
It's thier game..... thier story..... thier charecter's. They can do with it as they please. If you don't like what they have done, disown the series.

because if he's simply reacting to the fact they're the only confirmed ones so far he's overreacting and freaking out. they are the two biggest fan favorites of course they announce them before anyone else to build up the hype train.
personally i dont particularly like or care about tali but she has a massive fan base. other characters will be introduced dont worry.

Wait. I thought the whole point of the Variables argument was to disprove that any ME2 squad-mates coming back.
Now Elite WANTS all of them back.
Maybe it's an imposter.
Again, you're like the rest. You only read what you want to read and ignore the rest. That topic was giving reasons why no one should get special treatment over anyone else. Either you bring everyone back and handwave the variables or you treat everyone as equals.
Bioware has made it clear that Tali and Garrus are more equal than any other ME2 character.

Yes they did. If you don't like Garrus or Tali than too nad. You either save them of you miss massive content? LIke any of the other ME2 cast? Than you're out of luck because all you're getting is an unimpotant and short cameo!

I wouldn't worry too much, his 'Fortune Telling' skills leave something to be desired.
According to his powers of presentience it was impossible for ANY of the ME:2 cast to return, 'cause of you know 'the variables'.
Midget is just upset that all of us that tried to explain that 'variables' are only a factor in a character returning, have ended up being right.
Garrus and Tali returning basically blows his entire argument out of the water and makes him look extremely foolish, if two characters can return, then the only thing preventing the others from returning is the writers.
Dave, you're pathetic. You know damn well that those variables were all in the game and were true. My Topic was made to explain why it's was impossible for them to return without Bioware handwaving things or screwing over the rest of their fanbase.
Bioware did both and it's bull****. If you aren't a Tali or Garrus fan and you own ME2 than you goit shafted big time.
Again with the insults and your almighty powers or presentience? Going to type this big so you can't claim you missed it.
WE HAVE VERY FEW DETAILS ABOUT ME:3 YET, WE DON'T KNOW WHETHER OR NOT ANYONE GOT 'SHAFTED', IT COULD VERY WELL TURN OUT THAT ALL OF THEM RETURN, IN SUCH A CASE WHO GETS 'SHAFTED' AGAIN?

They said Andersan was a standin and only said Legion would appear.
Ergo he's a cameo.

I do relieze that. Didn't you read my variable Topic before Garrus and Tali fans derailed it? The only way not to shaft anyone was eiher bring everyone back or no one back.
I did not read it. I do agree though, none of them should have been coming back. Bringing them back means you have a squad full of folks who are completely peripheral to any of the events occuring in game.
This is of course assuming I agree with the loss of the original characters in ME2 and assuming I didn't think the suicide mission was a terribly implemented gimmick that derailed the entire flow of the trilogy, but yeah.....

So while all this is going on Bioware's thinking maybe character X and Y weren't as popular as we initially thought. Let's scrap them and make room for someone more popular. I have the characters that I like and dislike. But I try to at least keep the comments constructive and keep the bashing to a minimum.

{By the way, I know Elite Midget has been known to try to speak on behalf of the VS fanbase... well speaking AS a member of the VS fanbase... he doesn't.}
In any case, I don't know what you intend to accomplish by riling up two of the biggest fanbases except maybe incite another flame war. Frankly I think we've had enough of those.
Frankly I'm glad Garrus is returning and now that he's the only alien squadmate so far confirmed in Mass Effect 3 who actually looks, you know, alien I'm looking forward to having him and Ashley fight alongside me once more.
Tali isn't one of my favorites but I'm not going to cry from the heavens because she's returning. Hell, I think Miranda Lawson is probably one of the worst things to ever be labelled a 'character' in modern popular culture, but even then I don't protest her return in Mass Effect 3 because obviously others do like her.
I like recurring characters. It makes a trilogy feel solid, would Lord of the Rings been as good if Gimli and Legolas randomly disappeared in the second half?
I think I get what you are saying with the whole 'hypocritical' thing, in relation to everyone mocking the VS fans for wanting to see their favorite characters return into the game... only to then make a few 'where is Tali' demand threads as information about Mass Effect 3 came in.
I get that, it annoyed me too.
I'll even acknowledge that it annoys me that a hate thread about Tali and Garrus is met with walls of text of opposition but had it been about Ashley or Kaidan or Jack or Grunt or another of the unpopulars people would be cheering it on.... possibly.
But here's the thing:
All you are doing is adding hypocricy to the hypocritical basis. You are doing the same thing that has been done to the VS fans and fans of other less popular characters in the past. In other words YOU are now being the hypocrite.
Yes it annoyed me that for the longest time other characters were pushed aside in favor of more marketable ones but I think those 'dark times' are behind us now.
In any case, so far confirmed are Ashley, Kaidan, Garrus, Liara, Tali, Wrex, Legion, Jack, Mordin and Anderson and that's not bad. I assume everyone will have an appearance in some way, shape or form in the third game.
Point is, stop being mean to people. Yes the Tali/Garrus fanbase has had it better for a long time, that's no reason to insult them. Just because people have it better than you, does not mean they are 'enemies' and it doesn't mean you have to insult them.
