I personally feel more attached to the characters I encountered and befriended in ME1 than the new squad members in ME2. Thus, I'm usually running around with Garrus and Tali mainly on my ME2 team. They're both very lovable characters, I don't see how you could hate them. To each their own, though.

I hate them because this is the THIRD game that they're being force fed down my throat and te FACT that Bioware basically is telling us that only Tali and Garrus are needed to survive the SM. If you lost TAli and Garrus yuou have 2 less Squaddies in ME3. If you lost any of the other Red Shirts in ME2 you still miss NOTHING.

I accepted this biased stance for ME2. Now that Tali and Garrus can die just like the rest I can't except it. Especially over Jacob and Miranda who HAD to join you in ME2.

Right now Wrex is the leader of one of the strongest clan in Tuchanka...
Virmire survivor now is a Spectre
Liara is the new Shadow Broker

All of them are now important people with a HUGE importance in the story...

I'd say deal with it Garrus and Tali could die in Mass Effect 2, and from the looks of how you took suggestion above...you didn't even try as if you so sick of them both in you squad...kill them AND...that's permenent solution If you don't want them...DON'T even bother using them in third game. All...i see here is a person whining about problem he could fix by himself.

One dimensional sex objects? That is hyperbole if I've ever seen it. But then, I didn't try out the romances for those characters until the 5th+ playthrough, so that might explain why I'm not seeing it.

Having some characters remain with the squad throughout the series helps give a sense of continuity - personally I had hoped that Tali and Garrus would become important non-squadmembers in ME3 (Garrus a Spectre, Tali an Admiral). Still, for those that have played all the games in the series, having familiar squad-mates has its own logic.

Keep in mind that we don't know the full cast yet; some of the ME2 squad could be returning as squadmates. It looks like Bioware decided to put in the (ridiculous amount) of extra work needed for this to happen. I hope we get some new squad-mates, as I think new characters are just as important as familiar ones.

I'm trolling because I'm angry that Bioware did what I had hoped they wouldn't? Which is showing biased FAVORTISM to a certian whiny and vocal fanbase while screwing over the rest of the fanbase? If so than I accept being called a troll.

Better a damn troll than a shepp that agrees with favoring Tali and Garrus while screwing over everyone else for three straight games.

If I do what you ask I start ME3 with 2 less Squaddies and miss out on huge content because Bioware wanted to reward Tali/Garrus fans AGAIN.

If I lose Miranda and Jacob I love only damn cameos. That's BULL**** and you know it when they all have killable status.

Exactly. Garrus and Tali are pretty much just tagging along with Shepard, while the rest of the old team gets all the fancy titles.

Wrex isn't important? He is gatering al the clans so they can stop cvil wars and stand as one... Useful for ME3 with al the "Reapers are coming" stuff. Also if he is replaced by "NPC #345" this thing won't happen making the things worse for ME3
Also VS and Liara can't be replaced by a random NPC

Tali and Garrus are the only returning Squaddies and are romanceable.

Tali and Garrus are the only returning Squaddies from ME2.

It's bull**** and you're a bad person for turnin a blind eye to this injustice.
