I don't remember that. All I remember is, "Shepard! Now... I need your help with this problem I could do myself...".

For Tali,I partialy agree, except she had no character in ME1 to lose.Elite Midget wrote...

Are we even talking about the same characters anymore? Or...the same game for that matter?
Because I'd call all that talk about "engineered to be perfect" and bending over so the camera can get a better shot of her ass turning a character into a sex object.
Miranda was a sex object but nowhere near the likes of Garrus and Tali who their rabid fans demanded every day untill it was revealed in ME2 that they be made sexable. Tali lost all character and turned into a virgin fangurl while Garrus turned into that distant GAR man that reqiures a womans touch to open up fully again.

Shepard recruited the others for the SUICIDE MISSION, not his private slaves.... Garrus and Tali have been with him from the beginning, they wouldn't just leave like that...! <_<
Shepard recruited them for the Suicide Mission. Than why the hell is Tali and Garrrus back over the others?
Also, are you telling me that Exiled Tali wouldn't leave but Romanced Miranda would? Really?

That was in a comic series that most didn't read. ME2 makes no mention of it other than Miranda saying that 'they' had recovered the body.
With how the novels went I find it doubtful the comic is even 100% canon and may only be canon if you romanced Liara.

Let me tell you, Elite. It is great to be a Talimancer right now, I'll admit. My favorite character is going to be a full squadmate in ALL THREE GAMES in the Trilogy! You don't get luckier then that, man. But here's the thing- I hope the same for your favorite as well.
All of us that have been fans of the series deserve to get really fulfilling conclusions for all of the squadmate's character arcs as far as I'm concerned. Especially the love interests, but I'll be disappointed if even just the non romanceable squadmates all get reduced down to some throwaway cameo.
I have a feeling that in this respect my opinion is also the one the majority of the ME fanbase shares, and is the one that Bioware and Casey Hudson have listened to the closest. That we care about the teams we've assembled over the past two games more than perhaps anything else about the world they've built.

The way I see it, they're the only ones who have stood by Shep regardless of their view on things.
They respected and trusted their Commander above everyone else. That in itself is enough for wishing them to be back for me, set aside the romances.
I mean, wouldn't it be nice to have at least a couple of people that were that loyal over the course of the three games?

I never understood the romancing of Garrus and Tali. It's like making love to a monitor lizard and a mechanical body suit... neither of those sound attractive. Especially if, by chance, whatever is in that mechanical body suit might resemble Cthulhu.

Guys, let's not be mean here.
Elite is not a troll. A troll says things just to ****** people off. Generally they don't even care about the subject they are using as a medium for a troll.
Elite genuinely hates the fact that two fictional characters are returning in a fictional universe.

But he doesn't hate them enough to kill them off on the suicide mission or refuse to recruit them (granted, this isn't possible with Garrus in ME2 but he could give up on Tali and there are other tech experts in the game).

Maybe I should start a thread about how BioWare shafted Tali's character in ME1.

Amen. Like it or not, in the context of the narrative, Tali and Garrus have a role to fulfill: that of Shepard's inseperable Space Bros. This is the role that many players have sought to solidify, and perhaps even deepen through a romantic subplot, and any self-respecting game developer would be insane to remove content most players find greatly enjoyable just because a vocal minority disapprove, especially since it is within that minority's power to remove that content themselves.Jayman1337 wrote...
