Maybe I should start a thread about how BioWare shafted Tali's character in ME1.

*rubs chin in a philosphical way*

I could start a Garrus one.. seeing as he is an optional companion in ME1. Tempting..

You know what I love? Not hating on characters. Sure, I have my favorites, but I'm not about to go on about being shafted by Bioware is one gets more screen time over another.

The way I see it, they're the only ones who have stood by Shep regardless of their view on things.

They respected and trusted their Commander above everyone else. That in itself is enough for wishing them to be back for me, set aside the romances.

I mean, wouldn't it be nice to have at least a couple of people that were that loyal over the course of the three games?

So Ashley doesn't exist? Last time I checked Garrus was Shepard 2.0 and did whatever I told him to. Tali? She fangurled all over me in ME2 and never questioned my Paragon choices.

No, it wouldn't. Not at the expense of everyone else or the fact that they can DIE. If they die Bioware has sai you lose massive content. Anyone else die? Well, you miss that unimportant cameo that is replaced with that random NPC.

Of course she existed. She obviously chose to not join with Shepard just for the simple fact that he's with Cerberus. That knocks her down a couple of notches with me.

Also, it's probably been stated a lot of times by now, but the reason other characters have been neglected in ME2 is because they're playing a much larger role in ME3. Ashley and Kaiden are probably going to be a lot more important to the plot than Tali or Garrus, and I'm not complaining one bit about it.

Oh............ and another thing............VERY LITTLE INFO HAS BEEN RELEASED. What, maybe a dozen screen shots and various tidbits across several magazines? (most of which may only be the article writer's speculation based on what they saw)

Relax.......its just a game.

Nah, better to start a thread about how in ME:1 the entire cast of ME:2 got shafted, 'cause you know, they got zero screen time...

Oh, good idea...

Amen.  Like it or not, in the context of the narrative, Tali and Garrus have a role to fulfill: that of Shepard's inseperable Space Bros.  This is the role that many players have sought to solidify, and perhaps even deepen through a romantic subplot, and any self-respecting game developer would be insane to remove content most players find greatly enjoyable just because a vocal minority disapprove, especially since it is within that minority's power to remove that content themselves.

Don't like hamburgers?  That's fine; don't eat 'em.  However, you cannot expect a diner to stop serving hamburgers just because you don't like them, especially if they are the most popular menu item.

Wow.. This!

well I think they are the most loyals squadmates Shepard will ever get and so they are very important in this licence. They'll join and work for you whatever you ask and are no longer just ''Squadmates'', they're friends, and good one. even more than Liara, Kaidan/Ashley and Wrex, and of course of this entire army of nobodies you recruit in ME2, who GTFO when the job is done :(

I like them, I know they are important, I want more of them and OP is just another ''haters'' who hates for no reasons.

Yet you're fine with this because Bioweare has tailored the game to YOUR wants and needs which is Tali/Garus despite them being optional squadies that can DIE.

As punishment for beating their game perfectly I have to get Tali and Garrus again yet if I wanted any of the other ME2 Squaddies over them? Too bad Bioware tells me!

Perfect is a matter of opinion.  My "perfect" game would have all the squad except Tali and Garrus die in ME2.:P

Edit:  Actually, perfect would have been if they (the new squad) all died prior to ME2 even, then I could have had my actual squad to interact with in ME2, but i'm picking nits now.

You know what I love? When Bioware decides to stop caving to a rabid part of their fanbase and stops shafting other fans to appease a few fans.

Rest of the ME2 Character Fanbase > Tali and Garrus Fanbases

Your version is twisted. The perfect one is obviously everyone loyal and alive. That's why there are those missions and how easy it is to save them all.

No I'm fine with it because I like video games and I don't get frazzled over who is in the game or not in the game ......  I'm going to play ME3 regardless of what charecter's return.  Even if Tali and Garrus were absent (i may be disapointed) but I'm not going to come on here and throw a fit about something i have no control over.

And eh no....they did'nt tailor anything to my wants........

IT'S THIER GAME.... ITS WHAT THEY WANT..!!!!

If they die I have 2 less Squaddies than everyone else and I don't get that missing content back. They talk about consequences but it seems the only consequences are for characters called Garrus and Tali.

How have they shafted other characters screentime ? Except for Tali we met on the first mission of the game, they all have the same screentime depending if you choose them, and gets similar time Loyalty missions !

It's sad that there are fans that enjoy watching the rest of the fanbase burn just as long as they get what THEY want.

It's a matter of opinion.

For example, I think the Garrus fans are pretty laid back and cool, while you think they're rabid.

Funny how things works, eh?

ME2 = VS, Wrex, and Liara are shafted.
ME3 = ME2 cast is shafted except Tali and Garrus.

I thought you'd LIKE consequences with them.. they might die. Wouldn't you enjoy that? If the content relates to these HORRIBLE characters why do you want it so bad?
