EDIT: I Have found the core problem to this, none of the below has anything to do with it, I have explained everything on the second page, again please disregard everything in this first post, none of it has to do with the main problem, it is regarding User Accounts.
In a short description, my DLC download, extract and install just fine, all the DAZIP's are present in my DAUpdater folder and all my files are present in my Addlns folder, heres the problem.

None of my DLC appears in 'Installed Content' and none of it is in 'Downloadable Content' after I installed them, presuming they've installed just fine, but again, nothing appears in 'Installed Content'

After some hours the DLC randomly appears again in 'Downloadable Content' even when all the files are still where they should be, upon installing each one again, it only takes a few seconds to install them (Wardens keep and Stone Prisioner alike) since the files are already there, still no luck.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

THINGS I HAVE TRIED AND HAVE NOT WORKED;

Uninstalled and Reinstalled the game. Twice.

Manually
using the DAUpdater to install the DAZIPS, even the DAUpdater says
'Install Succesfull' after each DAZIP is installed, still nothing in
'Installed Content'

Deleted
all the contents of Addlns and Offers in My Documents, and deleted all
the DAZIP's in DAUpdater, cleared my download Cache and restarted the
Updater Service for a complete fresh download of the content - still
nothing appears in 'Installed Content'

Checked
to see if the DAUpdater service is present in services.msc and set it
to normal and automatic, and have started it before running the game.

Setting
Steam and the game shortcut to run as administrator, as well as
deactivating the firewall and all my Anti Spyware while the DLC install.

Relogging
in and out via the main menu screen to my Bioware account, clicking the
refresh button on the DLC screen multiple times.

Leave the game idle in the main menu screen for a short duration

Begging the DLC to work.

Hours of web search and reading the User-made Troubleshooting post (you may
find some of my posts in regard to this) but no one else has mentiond
this problem.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Please can ANYONE, or even Bioware (god bless them if they help) help me? I beg for any help, and will be -forever- gratefull to any good saint willing to help me.

May the Maker watch over you all, thanks for reading my post (if you did)

EDIT: PICTURES OF THE PROBLEM

Below: The main problem, nothing in 'Installed Content' (Keep in mind I have not installed the DLC this time around since I already know its not going to appear in 'Installed Content' thats why the red ' ! ' is there.

Posted Image

Below: To show I do have the DLC, and its all listed there.

Below: A picture after I have installed all the DLC, as you can see none of them are listed, but if I go to 'Installed Content' nothing is there either, I can easily make them show again by clearing my download cahce, but then I'm just installing them again to no new effect

Below: What I mean by some of my DLC having grey images where the picture is meant to be, this has only happend for Blood Dragon Armour, the Wicked Oath and the Pockets.

Posted Image

Below: The DAUPdater saying itself that the Install was succesfull

GREEN BOX: What I mean when I say theres no text on the buttons, I believe from other screenshots I've seen that ''Select DAZIPS'' and ''Install selected'' are meant to be on those two buttons, but as you can see from the picture, the DAUPdater works fine.. or does?

BLUE BOX: Saying Install Succesfull, by going back to the first screenshot, nothing is there.

RED BOX: It says Install Succesfull, but that bar is not complete?

Below: A picture of one of my DAUpdater logs after installing the DLC -again- (for some reason the logs go to My Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age and not :C/Program Data/Bioware/DAUpdater/Logs)

HIGHLIGHTED TEXT: The text reads ''11/26/2009 5:20 PM - Install Error for: C:\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ProgramData\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\BioWare\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Dragon Age\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\DAUpdater\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Data\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\DAO_PRC_CP_2_1.0.dazip, Error: Invalid zip archive detected.''

On others logs it sometimes reads ''11/26/2009 1:32 PM - Install Error for: C:\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ProgramData\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\BioWare\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Dragon Age\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\DAUpdater\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Data\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\DAO_PRC_CP_2_1.0.dazip, Error: Couldn't load manifest file (could be bad dazip archive)''

(It does not happen for all the DLCs, the majority of them get ''Install Successfull'')

Below: A picture of my Addlns.xml, the DLC is listed there but it still does not show in 'Installed Content'?

RED BOX: Enabled=1 does that mean anything? None of my DLC is in the game, so It cant be enabled?

Really sorry to say I don't have any help for you and not trying to gloat to say it may have something to do with system configuration because I haven't had a problem with any DLC (knock on wood). I'd say share your system specs as well, everything from OS, service pack, hardware, etc. It just gives the devs more to go on.

Put in your system specs, Operating System with service pack version, Video Cards, RAM, etc. This helps them see if there are common issues to once certain configuration - so yes dxdialog isn't a bad idea either... just give them something to help narrow down the issue.

Just a couple of things, and not too sure if they will help....but its worth a try...

Its always worth checking the updater service....I had to install mine manually, and help a friend with theirs...

Does your DLC show in your Registered Game Promotions on this site ?? My Internet access isn't the best (its DSL, but I live in a remote area) and I need to leave the game sitting at the start screen for a few minutes before I do anything, or the DLC won't work. Sometimes I have to restart the game once or twice before it picks up the DLC.
Also does other DLC work, such as the camp storage addon ?? It may be worth trying this one (or a similar small player addon) to check if they are working ok. That will at least let you know if its just the official DLC that doesn't work, or if it is everything.

And lastly....have a look inside the AddIns.xml file (/your user name/Documents/BioWare/DragonAge/Settings/Addins.xml), and you should see in there references to Wardens Keep and Stone Prisoner, and any other addons. Its probably best to search through this file, as there is a lot of other text, but you should see a line with the DLC name, plus enabled, requiresauth, etc...

To Shade:

My DLC is indeed registerd to me, they are all listed in my Registerd DLC list, and ineresting theory with the camp storage addon, I'll definantly give that a shot tommorow, but for now I have a headache through surfing through hundreds of files and folders in persue of this problem so I will be heading to bed, ergh.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling my DAUpdater, It is present in my 'services.msc' and the folder for DAUpdater in 'Program Data' is there also.

To Sigiz:

Sorry if I sound like a complete idiot, but what do you mean by OS? If its something to do with my firewall then I have already gone to the game configuration and clicked 'Create Friewall Excepton'

Another strange thing is that my DAUPdater has no text on its buttons, I've seen pictures of it, and its meant to have 'Select DAZIPS' and 'Install Selected DAZIPS' on its two bottom buttons, but mine has no text on the buttons, but it still works fine, the button still function, but theres no text on them, strange, but nothing major I guess.

Thank you both for your help, I will post back tommorow on whether user-made addons work, so we can know if all addon are not going to work for me, or if its just the official addons (I really hope not)

Thanks again to you both, I really appreciate any help, theres no other way I can acknowledge my gratitude :) But really, thanks!

Downloaded the Storage chest addon with DAUpdater, dragged it into the DAUpdater, installed it and in the block box got 'Install Succesfull'

Went to the Addlns XML and all that was there was;

<?xml version=''1.0'' encoding=''utf-8 ?>
<!--   AddIn Information  -->
<AddInsList />

(I had to type it since copy/past made it turn into jibberish)

Thinking that it may of not worked, I go to the Addlns folder and the folders and files for the addon are there.
Maybe this is the core of the problem? Nothing is showing up in the Addlns XML?

I'll try installing the other DLCs again and see if anything else appears in the Addlns XML, will report back soon.

Scratch what I've said about the Addln.xml, I started the game and now it appears and along the line it says ''enabled=1#'' still nothing in Installed Content.

I've treid downloading the DLC again, and get this;

1/20/2009 12:58 PM - Information - Processing manifest for: C:\\ProgramData\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\DAUpdater\\Data\\DAO_PRC_CP_2_1.0.dazip

11/20/2009 12:58 PM - Install Error for: C:\\ProgramData\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\DAUpdater\\Data\\DAO_PRC_CP_2_1.0.dazip, Error: Couldn't load manifest file (could be bad dazip archive)

I'm not too worried about that though, since it has installed fine before, though could that mean anything?

Hmm I installed the game on a laptop which has Vista and it turns out it doesn't autostart the service called: "Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater" which has description "Digital management system for Dragon Age: Origins downloadable content." when you start the game. So try starting that service manually before running the game or installing the addins via the daupdater.

First time they installed It was set to manual, I was led to beleive that it should be on auto, so ever since then It's been on auto, the files sometimes install fine and sometimes don't, but even if they do install fine, they still don't appear in 'Installed Content'

You mean manually logging in and out via the main menu screen? Aye I have, and I have spam click the refresh button on the DLC screen.

Gonna update the things I have tried to make it more clear for everyone, and thank for all the posters so far, the help means a lot :)

Two things I can suggest, one of them is not really helpful but its an option.
1. Uninstall everything and start again which could be a real pain if you are far into the game, if you do this you'll need to find all the folders and delete the lot.
2. (this might work) - run the configure settings from the splash screen when you start the game, wait for it to finish the scan, then select repair - from here press 'firewall access', then press the 'clear download cache'. The wording is not exact but you'll see what I'm talking about.

Hopefully the second one will work. This should (hopefully) sort it.

It seems like your downloads are stuck in a half installed state. Try backing up the dazips, then following the below steps to clear all your current dlc content. Once cleared, try installing the dazips manually again or just restart the game and they should be available for download in the middle tab.

1) Shut down Dragon Age: Origins

2) In Windows, press the 'Start' button and select 'Run'

3) In the command line type 'net stop DAUpdaterSvc'

4) Navigate to 'My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Settings' and delete 'Manifest.xml' and 'Offers.xml'and 'addins.xml'

5) Navigate to 'My Documents\\bioware\\Dragon Age' and delete the 'Offers' folder

6) Navigate to 'C:\\Documents and Settings\\All Users\\Application Data\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\' and delete the 'DAUpdater' folder

7) Navigate to 'C:\\My Documents\\bioware\\Dragon Age\\' and delete the 'AddIns' folder

8) In the command line type 'net start DAUpdaterSvc'

9) Restart Dragon Age: origins and log in

To Jason;

I tried your steps, and all the DLC appeard again in 'Download Progress' I downloaded each one again, restarted my game, logged in and out, and still nothing in 'Installed Content'

Thanks for the help thoough, its refreshing to know Bioware are here to help :)

To Zartan;

I have considerd completley removing the game, but I'm not sure where all the files and folders are (I bought the game via Steam) and I have tried uninstalling the game and deleting all the folders I could find, still no luck.

EDIT: I have posted new pictures showing exactly where and what Folders, DAZIPS and DAMPS are, I know I'm being a pest with this long topic, but I'm banging my head on my wall asking myself why I get this obscure problem :(
