I have found what may be causing the problem... no.. I have found what IS causing the problem.
So I have two accounts, one I use for -everything- and the other is just a spare, for no reason at all, yes, no reason at all I decide to go to my other account for the first time in months.
(When I say my ''other account'' I am refering to the one where the DLC appeared in Installed Content and is showing folders I could not recently see before AND Vista seems to be working better for, and when I say ''this account'' I am refering to the one I am on now and use everything for)
It seems my Vista is running like it should on the other account, its a major difference from this account (I have no idea why vista suddenly changes for that account)
Anyway, I decide to load up DA and nothing new there, nothing appears in Installed Content.
I check my folders, none of my other folders are there, literally none of my saves are there etc, plus some of the hidden folders I've mentiond are there (settings for one) and I expect if i made a character, a 'Characters' and 'Screenshots' folder would also be there (folders which are invisible on this account).
I go to my DAUpdater folder and find two DAZIPS, one big one, one small, I say to myself ''F*ck it'' and open the updater.
Now I get suprised, in my first post there is an image on the DAUpdater, and I have a green box around the buttons showing there is no text on them, well on the other account there IS text on the buttons, hmm.
I drag the DAZIP into the DAUpdater, it installs, says 'Install Succesfull'' like it usually does on this account, I load up DAO again, go to 'Installed Content'' and O_______O Its there?!
I was not jumping off my seat like i should of been though, because now I have another major problem... its on a differnt account... and not the account I have - everything - on.
The reason everything seems bugged to hell on this account is because a long while ago my computer sort of just crashed or other (I forgot how it happend) but since that day this account has not been the same, and sadly after nearlly a year of using this account I'm starting to see what bugs I'm dealing with, I owe it to DAO for that much.
I do not intend to competley switch to my other account, as I've said I have -everything- on this account, unless there is a way to move everything to my other account, I just plan to use the other account for playing DAO.
So, disregarding -everything- on my first post, I now have a new question and problem.... oh woe is me. (Keep in mind I own the game via Steam)
(I know this is not really a game problem, but in part it is, and there are some smart people on this forum, and I am gratefull there are also a lot of helpfull people too, plus I don't know where else to post regarding this)
The thing I recognise: I have picked up that using the other account and using DAO is almost exactly like running the game for the very first time, which means all my Saves etc are gone, and I do have a lot of saves and screenshots, its very upsetting for me to think that the only way I may be able to use the DLC is if I start all over again (which would be very hard to do since I have 5 - 6 running characters I play, I'm getting sick of the starting area, ergh)
PROBLEM: As stated above, all my saves are gone, all my screenshots are gone, its literally like I have not played the game before.
To add to the problem, this means my DLC is not appearing in the Download Progress list even if I am logged in, the only way I got Wardens Keep to show up was because it was already in my DAUpdater folder as a DAZIP (probably because I got the DAO DDE edtion which gave me Wardens Keep for free)
QUESTION: When I saw the DLC in 'Installed Content' it said 'unautorised' under it, obviously because I'm on a different account, is there a way to transfer my data from this account to the one that works with DAO? - WITHOUT corrupting it like this one seems to be. -
I do not own any memory sticks or external drives sadly ;(
Even when signed in as myself on the otheraccount it still says 'unauthorised' under the DLC, is there a way to make the game recognise that I do infact own the DLC? And why are they not showing in 'Download Progress' like they normally do on this account?
I've gone on too long already, to put the question as short as I can, how can I make it so its like I'm playing Dragon Age as normal on the otheraccount (Saves, screenshots and most importantly my DLC FINALLY shows in Installed Content)
I would like to thank everyone who tried to help me so far, and would also like to apologise for making them waste their time trying to help me fix a problem when I was leading everyone in the wrong direction, now I have found the problem at the core, I hope everyone can forgive my stupid mistake and help me just this little bit further.
Thanks you again to everyone who has tried to help, it is now 4 AM in the morning, I have been trying to fix this for atleast five hours today and have succeded in finding the problem at last... oh thank the Maker. .
