I'm talking about the one in Sundermount where an evil tomb is located. I've managed to make it into the central chamber where the tomb is but now I've given up and taken a break. To get here I've had to go through ridiculousy difficult battle after ridiculously difficult battle. There are constant waves of shades, skeletons, rage demons, desire demons, revenants, golems and those floaty mage guys. Has anyone managed to complete this dungeon on Nightmare? How did you manage it? How did you tackle the fight in the central chamber? Who did you bring? I'm a mage btw.

Try Arelex's tutorial to it
It's even got a voice-over!! haha

If you want more examples here's some other ones:
Jack-Nader
Arelex
Me

I did it controlling isabela because somehow melee companions always act stupid in big rooms like that.

Wow that first guy is a DA god! No pausing and no switching characters without a single character down. Unbelievable. Then again it's on console, isn't console slightly easier? I play on PC.

Look at the first example I linked for a pc version.
There may be more mage nexus gauntlet runs out there that I don't know of. It's kinda fun but you can't really speed run it due to the waiting for respawns :(

Also, I'm sure Arelex's ego will be greatly pleased to read that..not that it needed anything more haha <_<

edit: Here's another vid of mine using fenris:

Basically there are quite a few ways to do it. :)

I believe difficulty is uniform across platforms, unlike DAO where xbox normal was PC casual.

I am a hardass, not even gonna lie to you. Also, most say that the difficulty is, indeed, uniform.

the worst player has already posted my tutorial video, and i've got gauntlet runs with all three classes on my YT channel, so check those out or msg me if you need additional help.

Hey, stop lieing. I didn't post there.

Btw, could someone help me with the battle in the beginning of the game where you first met the Ogre? You know, where you have only you sis/brother to help you? I'm playing on casual and I'm unable to win this fight. Could someone help me please?

@andraip: Try to run back to the previous area, which is not so large but there's not much darkspawn spawn around to distract you.
Try to use hit-and-run tactics. Have one in your team attack in range while the other distract the ogre, just run around and beware of his ram attack. You can beat him even on nightmare with this tactics. Trust me

Thanks, I appreciate the thought, you can even solo him with that tactics on NM (I did it) btw. I was asking for the first Ogre fight (the one were you are immortal), not the second. It was a joke.:D

lol I was about to say. Ogres are ridiculously easy to fight in DA2. I reckon I could solo an army of them on Nightmare lol.

Btw I managed to complete the Golem's Gauntlet fight on my first try back though I had to do a lot of pausing and character switching :P I've never bothered to set up my tactics on DA2.

Do it, you'll be glad you did, I guarantee. There's just something magical about having everything fire exactly when it's supposed to, and destroying encounters with ease. You'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner!

Check my guides, SuicidalBaby's guide on Advanced Tactics, and his BM Compendium, as well.

i found that staying in a corridor using your tank to block the door makes things easier....slightly, the rage demons can get by but others are blocked, meaning you dont have to deal with so many mobs at once
