I've finished the game so DLC content that's only accessible from before the final battle/area is somewhat lost on me. I'd much rather they did a proper full expansion than just adding little bits here and there. Sure when I next play through the game in the future I'll likely buy it.. if its still available then.

Ditto. I really wonder about this. Are they going to keep releasing bit that tie into the original campaign? How many people are going to go back and replay just for this?

I don't mind having more darkspawn to kill. I never get tired of that laugh or whatever it is they do. A second chance at a dog? I suppose we'll be returning to Lothering later for all the folks who missed Leliana and/or Sten... :-P

Still, I don't mind additional content; I just hope there's more to it than there is to Warden's Keep. Warden's Keep bummed me out when, after completing the quests, Bioware locked the front door and made the interiors of the keep inaccessible. I was hoping for something along the lines of Crossroad Keep in NWN2. Instead all I get is a merchant, storage chest, and weapon smith, all in a tiny courtyard.

Have any of the people complaining actually played the DLC yet?

Just curious.

We played the other attempt at a DLC.

If you went to a restaurant and you found metal and glass shards in your burger, you wouldn't keep buying burgers from them until they give you a good one. You complain about their burgers and you roll your eyes at people who say "Have you bought the new burgers!?" Because you obviously haven't given the history of metal and glass shards in the burgers.

So your just curious response is an idiotic and flawed one.

So if someone hits you do you fall out with them for life just because of one mistake, i still think we should reserve judgement and if its bad then its bad and you dont have to buy it then but if its good then it will probably be worth it

This site, which nearly eliminated all Grey Wardens from Ferelden, harbors a number of secrets, including Cailan's political agenda. Players will be able to try to discover what the king was planning, as well as reclaim his honor and equipment.

Obviously there is more to it then what the 3 pointers state.

Really? Because from Warden's Keep, there was less to it than what the pointers said.

Lets see.

-New quests - discover what really happened to the Grey Wardens of old and what led to their expulsion from Ferelden. Indeed it had this.

-New features - a base of operations with party storage. Inventory full?
Stash new items as well as loot from the main Dragon Age: Origins
campaign. Had that as well.

-New items and abilities - talents and spells from the Power of Blood
school, unique achievements, and powerful items including a set of Grey
Warden Commander armor. Had that as well.

So what exactly did it say it had that it didn't?

Yes, I did.

1) Warden keep : I like the idea with all the flashback, telling us a bit about grey wardens but he story was really short like the dunjon, Redcliff castle was more bigger than this one :( I finished it in less than 1 hours in normal mode. Also, I am dispointed to have met an important NPC in there but he wasn't needed in main story, so he was useless.

2) Shale, stone prisonier : well, it was shorter than Warden keep, the village waspretty small, I think without the puzzle,I will had finished it in 10 or 15 minutes but it's okay, Shale character was well written by Biowar so I felt less dispointed because I can use him during all my journey and not just for 30 mins.

@ TheMadCat  : I am not sure that your learn bloodmagic, I mean like any other specialization, you can share it with your compnions. I saying this because the one who teach real blood magic is the demon possessing Connor.

Hahaha I a heard (well, read) a lot of people complaining that they felt $7 was too much for the other one. Now they lower it to $5 for the new one and people still complain. Wow

Said complainers are more than likely not used to paying for their games, period. Perhaps its time to make the general forum for registered users only as well.

Heh, that might be a good idea IF i could actually register my game. Funny how a week after sending an email to customer service where response times are "24-48 hours" i still haven't received a response.... I'm just supposed to go to the post office, buy stamps and envelopes that i use for nothing else, and send them my game insert and HOPE that they send me a replacement? I think i'll pass until i've received at least a "thanks for the email" from customer support. For all i know their customer support is a room full of monkeys throwing poo around at this point.

Warden's Keep was fun but really short.
Stone Prisoner is cool because you get another party member (even though we have way too many warrior party members).

Id still like to see a female warrior npc that can join the party. But yes we do have to many warrior types

Hope the new add on also is larger then WK, if expecting us to download it.

I, for one, am really excited about the DLC support from Bioware and will happily buy this. If you don't like it, don't buy it. Let your wallet do the talking.

Well in actuality the Power of Blood school has nothing to do with Blood Magic itself, you can have and use the Power of Blood spells without having blood magic. The pointer doesn't say you can learn Blood Magic, rather learn the Power of Blood spells which is a different school in the game, and indeed you do learn the spells there.

Its also stupid that people complain about hardly any DLC for Mass Effect and then complain when there they are making DLC for dragon age, I guess that proves you cant please everyone

You're looking at it in a very naive way. People just want value for their money. A 20-60 minute gaming experience for $5 is not indicative of that.

bioware has a separate mailing address than EA.

it is entirely possible to financially support bioware and obtain content without supporting EA's soul-crushing greed machine.

Seems I got my answer if it will be after or before the story, it sounded just like Warden keep to access it : To find the survivor play through Dragon Age Origins until after the village of Lothering and Journey to Bann Loren's Lands along the Bannorn's northwest border.

:(

Correction: You can't please anyone. These people irritate me to no end, its all whinning and crying.

Don't want it? Don't buy it. Stop making me have to thread through your complaints looking for information and legit questions.

Havnt read every single post on this thread but when you cross the bridge at ostergar for the first time if you look down to your left you can see lower levels of ostergar in the cliff face. bearing in mind the place was partly built by dwarfs my guess is the new dlc will open up a tunnel network leading down to the battle feild. hopefully even an ancient entrance to the deep roads?hmmm + i think the survivor of ostergar you meet will end up being a party member. also i think alot of the dlc was produced originaly as part of the main game but cut out for watever reason. i keep see ing scenes and locations on da;o vidz that i havnt seen ingame and ive pritty much looted every single inch of the game world lol

So no patch to fix simple texture issues that were broke on release....No patches to fix many of the game breaking issues people are having (we've had 1 patch, and another patch to fix the patch that didn't work right)...yet we have new DLC so money can be made?

I find this really disturbing..and very off putting :(

Go pick bottles. Enough bottles to fill one good urination session will cover your game. Oh, wait... Do you have to steal your mum's credit card? Jesus H is that a pain in the ass. I feel for you.

Personally I don't understand why people complain about DLC prices for any game what so ever. There is a price tag, so buy or not - simple as that. None of us go to Burger King and complain about their prices, if we don't like it or can't afford then we go somewhere else, but don't expect the price to get lower.

So why complaining? We all know well that DLC is short, so far I never seen big DLC, even in Fallout 3 they were relatively small. Bioware released all this time just short add-on's so why to expect 50h long DLC for 5$?

As about first two DLC then I find them very cool and do not regret paying for it.
