Good news, and for those complaining, you don't have to buy it and would you prefer they produce no more dlc's at all?

We'd prefer they gave us a solid, meaty expansion pack instead.

I would hope for one too, until that happens, I'll be happy if they keep producing DLCs. Many developers produce games with assurances of DLCs that never even happen. In the mean time I'm going to play around with the toolset and see what i can do with that Image IPB

I hope this is only the beginning for the DLC planned. I am with the others madly in love with DAO, a fine mistress she is. I am a bit uneasy about this proposed "DLC" not for quality by have you because I know BioWare takes the time to consider their releases but I also hope this is just one of many more DLC's to come.

Maybe some perks for mages and a continuing story line or maybe even more playable characters, whatever BioWare has planned just keep it coming. Don't slow down or walk away, the mods and DLC can make this game really great.

I also look forward to seeing what the community can come up with, truly, I can pretty much get excited about anything Dragon Age. I don't knock BioWare for an armor pack I just hope there's a lot more DLC planned.

You're looking at it in a very naive way. People just want value for their money. A 20-60 minute gaming experience for $5 is not indicative of that.

Look on the bright side of this, what about all those people who bought MW2 and paid how much money only to find out that game lasted 5 hours max.Image IPB

It was my general understanding that most people wanted to buy MW2 for the mutiplayer part of it not for the singplayer experience. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I know my brother will maybe spend 5 hours on the singleplayer, but I know he will be playing it with his buddies for a looong time on his Xbox. Myself I did not buy it due to poor handling of PC version.

To those who say not to whine about the DLC. I believe most of those stating their opinion on the DLC are doing just that, stating their opinion, on whether or not they will buy it. People are starting to argue with game companies with their wallets, whether they will buy it or won't.

Nobody seems to be flaming people who come on this thread and post: "Woot will buy!"
Why do others flame people who come on the thread to say: "I do not think this is worth my money."

Because it's 5 dollars? I lose more than that when I vacuum out my car.

I'll be getting this when it comes out although looks like more warrior armor along with Blood Dragon and Warden Commander's sets? Hopefully some future DLC will give us some nice mage and rogue items to play with.

i am absolutely astounded by the number of people who seem to simply not have any concept of the value of money.

"just $5."

so you bought a couple cups of coffee. or a burger. or some DLC.

but you know what? you did that 500 times in the last year. and what you spent on it all was $2500. you could have built 2 cutting edge brand new computers for that cash.

it's not that "just $5" is pocket change, it's that you're an idiot when it comes to money management.

Why are these DLCs so tiny? It's one thing to pay for an extra campaign like in the Neverwinter Nights games, since there was actually something to those.. These, they're over in less time than the average level in the Diablo games, and don't seem much different. (And don't bring up shale. That's not a DLC, that's an excuse to charge some people for part of the game that they failed to release at launch.) There needs to be SUBSTANCE in these. Yeah, they might be fun, but really, if they don't add a % of content at least to the level of their price % of the full game's price... people are going to feel scammed, and rightly so. The only improvement these have over fan made mods is the voice acting, which is good, but a few lines aren't worth it. (Also with the fan made mods, you can expect them to improve over time...)

Good

My mage is lvl 24.6

This might push it over to lvl 25

Plus I think the kings armor looks really cool so I'll definantley use that on my warrior and/or on warrior members of my parties

Just me or does this sound like another loot fest for warriors? Honestly, I'd probably spend 5 dollars if they gave my poor magic some more robe options and hats that don't look silly.

It would be really nice if they could come out with some dungeon/area add-ons that can be replayed , have multiple mini-boss types with a main boss and possibilities of rare loot drops. Just buying the DLC and being guarenteed that you get the loot after one time through seems alot less fun..

Good for you and I just spent 10 euro on coffee and cake at Starbucks on my way home from work couse my sweet tooth felt like it. I still dont think I will be buying this DLC. Maybe if the feedback is good after release I will. Different people different priorities. I'm just saying to each his own and that some posters here should not get their panties all in a bunch and stat flaming just becouse some one comes in and says they do not want to buy the DLC becouse it is not good value for money to them.

Its also stupid that people complain about hardly any DLC for Mass Effect and then complain when there they are making DLC for dragon age, I guess that proves you cant please everyone

I suppose your right.....

Disagree. I've fed more than $5 in quarters into an arcade game in 60 minutes...

To rent a movie on Zune Video Marketplace costs about 5$ that can be used only during 24h. So 40min DLC that you can play many times over do not look bad at all.

The toolset being broken is not a coincidence.

contrary to popular belief we firmly believe that our game is 100% playable, bugs aside. they don't matter, so rather than give news or anything on something the majority of our fanbase would like we're gonna show you people DLC thats going to cost money out of your pocket rather than what you'd benefit from!

thanks, devs

my take on the scenario, i may be wrong....

First is their money not yours,so they can spend them how they like, and naming somone "idiot" is not the best way to gain people sympathy.

ah, well, good beer would be the exception to all that.

really, it was mostly hyberbole intended to make a point rather than to be taken strictly literally.

So I'm guessing this is a DLC to complete before beating the game? I guess I should slow down my current play through......

It's $5. Skip your lunch (god knows, most of you need it) for one day and there you have it. No need to cry and ruin it for people who want more DLC.

Seeing as how fattening food is cheaper than healthy food, (Cheaper than 5 bucks) I'm going to need every bit of those dollars for when I'm at the grocery section at the market. Probably the number 1 thing Americans don't get enough of in their diet. This is the craziest suggestion I've ever heard. Why would you skip out on something that you need to live and stay healthy so you can buy something you don't need?

You're implying that most people here are obese? Skipping lunch is going to make that worse.
