Although I really would like to see more talents, skills and specializations, but those will probably come later in a larger DLC or expansion

So I'm guessing this is a DLC to complete before beating the game? I guess I should slow down my current play through......
well you can still beat the game then come back and play that DLC. really just a matter of choice!
In that case one of the features of the DLC is completely worthless - namely the new armor.

It would be really nice if they could come out with some dungeon/area add-ons that can be replayed , have multiple mini-boss types with a main boss and possibilities of rare loot drops.

So I hope BioWare doesn't take these forum opinions too seriously. If you think it looks so bad, don't get it. Simple as that. The rest of us can play, and enjoy it. For a measly $5, it certainly looks good.

It could add 30 hours of gameplay, a new continent and five new party members and there would still be the group that thinks it's "not worth XX dollars, please do better BioWare, u r suxxx".
no, that's called an expansion pack. and i wouldnt complain about it, except that id want a physical copy rather than a download.

First is their money not yours,so they can spend them how they like, and naming somone "idiot" is not the best way to gain people sympathy.
neither is calling them "whiners" or "complainers."
Yes but you can see that there are a lot of people who are happy with DLC for now,and I for one understand your standing point, there are people who value there money more and you are one of them and that is fine with me,but we all have to understand that BioWare right now have one major upcoming title and that their main focus is right there at the moment, surely when they have more man power to spare on other areas we will see biger DLC packs.

Although I hope we see lengthier DLC in the future, maybe even stuff you can jump into outside the main story (like with NWN modules).

My example was rhetorical to point out that no matter what they do, some people will always hate it. All DLC expands the game world, making them expansion packs. Most physical expansions for games like Warcraft III, NWN etc. add a good chunk of content, yes.. But it's the same idea. I, personally, would much prefer to get small DLC packs every few months than to wait a year or more for the development of a full expanion pack sized DLC.the_one_54321 wrote...

To each his own, I guess. I just dislike how many people complain about everything.

Remember when games were made by gamers and not simply suits that found out gamers are the dumbest consumers on the planet?
I won't ever purchase your DLC. I'll continue to support PC developers that continue to provide FREE quality DLC. It's part of the PC marketing strategy that's been done on the PC for years. Somewhere years and years ago Bioware forgot that.

lol, I love how developers create content during the development of the game and then sell it outside of the original game because selling games for $50/60 isn't enough for these greedy sobs.

I would assume holiday season in this context means thanksgiving, (known to 95% of the world as 'End of November-ish), so a couple of weeks.
A second chance to get the mutt... The mutt who will die unless you get the flower? So long chices and consequences, we'll miss you... (I suppose it could be a different mutt, who will only imprint if you haven't already got a pet, but its the principle)...

I don't think anyone is expecting 5 hours worth of content, nor does it need to be 5 hours to be good. An hour-hour and a half with an interesting story behind it and I'd say money well spent.
One hour for 5 $ is rip-off. A decent game should be at least 30 hours, and cost between 50 and 60 bucks.
A DLC doesn't need to develop a graphic engine, nor to create and balance the rules, nor the world builder, nor nothing. It also doesn't involve distribution cost.
So it should be less than the ratio of the initial game, not more.
As such, it should not be more expensive than 1 $ per hour.
Which is why, if it's less than 5 hours of real content, it's not worth it.
Everything you just stated there is an opinion and what you view and value vs. enjoyment. It doesn't have to have this much length and cost this much just because the game was this and that just to be good, that's what YOU feel it must have. As I said, if it's an hour or so long, has a nice back story and is more then killing and looting then I'll be happy with spending $5. If you don't feel it is because you've got a little math forumla to determine weather something is worth it or not then so be it. Don't attack opinions with opinions.
