Me and my friend won't buy this i even tried to warn him about WK and he got ass burned to ashes over how short it was. So what we are going to get now: Visit the same area, fight the same things, get the retextured armor and maybe if we are lucky it might last longer then 20min!

Don't support DLC you are not helping the game move forward. Expansions do that. Expansions (in general) higher quality, takes more time to complete, new features, creatures, textures.

Im sad over where gaming is going. Soon we are going to see every game do this because there are so many people falling for it. why would they make a expansion that take more time, need higher quality and new features and need to be quiet long (there for more expensive). When they can just make DLC. It hardly have any cost, no real need for quality check (they will just blame the team that made it if things go bad), very short and they will get more money from it.

Well RIP complete games...

Oh my effing Jesus, this thread is huge! Wow, so many haters. While I agree that I'd rather see patches before we see anything else, I bought Warden's Keep and did not feel ripped off. But then, I dunno, I'd heard it about before release and actually read up on it, honestly it was longer than I anticipated it being :D

I'm very glad Bioware announced this as new content can't come fast enough. I'd like a bigger expansion too, in addition to the patches I mentioned but none of these things are mutually exclusive. The game is still practically brand new. We're dealing with an embarassment of riches here.

Obviously, there will always be those who aren't happy, and some people just seem to hate the idea of DLC altogether. You're entitled to your opinions, but just know there are lots of use out there who buy these things and play them and enjoy them and are happy to have them. It doesn't make us sheep or EA/Bioware evil overlords. They're a company making product for a profit and I'm a happy consumer.

I don´t mind paying 5Euros for extra content, problem is i don´t have a credit card which pretty much leaves me out. :( Unless ofc i can use Visa Electron to pay for it? Anyone know if it works, or do you need a real Visa or Mastercard? I have the PC version.

It's funny, I've remember hearing this 10 or 11 years when I first started gaming back when expansions were starting to become all the rage, microtransactions were born and the MMO market was slowly starting to come alive.

lol, I love how developers create content during the development of the game and then sell it outside of the original game because selling games for $50/60 isn't enough for these greedy sobs.

Remember when games were made by gamers and not simply suits that found out gamers are the dumbest consumers on the planet?

I won't ever purchase your DLC. I'll continue to support PC developers that continue to provide FREE quality DLC. It's part of the PC marketing strategy that's been done on the PC for years. Somewhere years and years ago Bioware forgot that.

I believe it!

the gospel truth.

The negative responses really make me sad.
This dlc looks alot better than wardens keep, bioware works hard so we can play this and all you suckers can do is whine.

seriously

why should it make you sad?  make the game complete the first time.. dont skimp us on the original game and expect us to buy it later.  the game hasnt barely been out 2 weeks.

Hmm, actually i could pay 10 Euros for a "romance " dlc which shows you and your loved one moving into a castle/manor or house and maybe getting married or something in that direction.. -lol-

Lots of potential with dlc. xD

60-80 hours with a beggining and ending is not considered a complete game these days?

Laststardreamer, really .. Don't feel left out Image IPB  I bought the previous DLC's with Paypal. You do not even need a VISA or creditcard for that. Make sure you have a bit money on it and you can buy whatever you want on the net. It is safe, go have a look on their site, it is all well explained. Image IPB

Generally, people complain about any DLC. It could add 30 hours of gameplay, a new continent and five new party members and there would still be the group that thinks it's "not worth XX dollars, please do better BioWare, u r suxxx".
So I hope BioWare doesn't take these forum opinions too seriously. If you think it looks so bad, don't get it. Simple as that. The rest of us can play, and enjoy it. For a measly $5, it certainly looks good.

no one would complain about 30hrs of NEW gameplay...provided you didnt  release this "optional" download the SAME day you released the Title Game!

Cailan's armor is already available, gold tint and all. If you want similar otherwise, it's Massive xxx B armor in the toolset. Make your own. Big woop.

Those of you complaining about where in the campaign timeline you have to access this new DLC, did you bother to read the other thread started by the Bioware dev?

its not complete if your holding onto extra content that could have been released with the title game.

You can either buy it or not.  What is the big deal... I'd rather have the choice than not.

Not when they were putting out pre game marketing videos with fat guys that have "lead DLC producers" titles talking about creating content to charge gamers more even before the initial product is out.

This whole paid DLC jazz is ridiculous. It only works because gamers are the dumbest things walking on two legs, are addicted to games, and most of the time are stupid children. Imagine buying ANYTHING else and then after coming home you see that in order to use all the features of said product you have to spend even more. Imagine if your washing machine that you bought used doesn't come with the rinse cycle because the rinse cycle was connected to a serial key which could be used by a specific owner. If you want the rest of the game you'll have to pay more.

Paid DLC is the worst thing that's happened to gaming and gamers but the best thing that's happened for greedy suits that simply look at numbers. It's going to destroy gaming and it's already begun to destroy second hand sales due to games not being complete but rather broken down into DLC chunks so these same suits that look at numbers can get back their supposed losts sales due to second hand markets.

I got this sweet timex watch I bought second hand except I have to buy the minute hand now as well. Oh yeah, just announced that in it now has a backlight so I can see the time in the dark.........if I pay even more money.

DLC is bad. All they need to do is add a quest or two. No new ideas, creatures, textures or features. Just plain quests.

Why pay for less? People that support DLC are very very strange.

the reason most are against it, is what it means about the direction of gaming.....weaker releases, hoarded content that is for sale later.....  the Hook, Line, and Sinker Theory:

The Hook:   Dragon Age Title Release
The Line:   DLC  Aka Pay to Play (PTP)
The Sinker:  Gaming is headed to a future where you will need pay to play,  DLC to have the "full experience." of the game.

i feel bad for them, they were probably in pre-school when we were playing games like BG and Fallout.  if they want to be suckers so be it.

A book I bought last week in the store has 327 pages.

A book I bought yesterday in the store has 398 pages.

A book I bought today in the store has 732 pages.

Each book cost me £6.99.

I can choose to either boycott all books, purchase every book ever printed, or selectively purchase based upon my own perception of quality to price ratio. Currently, I prefer the latter.

My mind is now at ease regarding DLC for this excellent game.

How does that differ from a paid expansion pack? You would after all be adding onto the game already exsisting, just more content and a higher price tag.
