IMO these are glorified item sales.

$7 for wardens keep (AKA best sword in the game)
$5 for Cailans sword/armor.

Bioware. My goodwill is gone. I am not a cow, and I won't be milked.

I am going back to NWN.

resources are resources. it's not that the DLC team is related to the patch team. it's that i, and others here would prefer it if the DLC team didnt exist and those resources were allocated elsewhere.

beyond that, some of you are willing to have money bled off of you one drop at a time. i dont think you should, but you have the right let it happen. i wont be doing the same, however. i think this is all a bad idea, and i wont be spending any money on DLC.

You are not going to buy it and you are certainly not going to change any opinions so why the crusade to bad mouth the devs and anyone who wishes yo purchase it? It isnt like you are going to influence the devs at all.

a lone voice of reason is still a voice of reason. and hey, clearly im far from being the only person who's unhappy about this. a lot of hte other posters would have prefered patches or the development of an expansion.

Well, the download numbers for the new content will tell the truth of that. You see yourself as the voice of reason, those of us who enjoy the setting and storyline and think nothing of dropping $5, $7, $15 or more for additional DLC see your posts as sour grapes.  As was mentioned, different teams work on patches, you will get them in due time.

It's up for an individual to decide if the money is worth it, not you.

And I never said otherwise, however I do think it is a slightly sneaky and rogue-like technique that makes many spend more money (accumulated) over time than they realize they are spending.

I love the game and the settings, and have all three of the main DLCs (not the free ring one) and while returning to Ostagar appeals to me in concept if the DLC doesn't introduce new areas within Ostagar and isn't longer than an hour, it will be the first I pass on I think.

Where did I ever say I was going to change the minds of people? No, I'm simply giving my feedback. The forum is a medium for feedback, I'm using it. Simple as that. I don't see how it's any different that the "crusade" of fanboys that believe any DLC that Bioware makes will be truly awesome and a must-buy. It's a double standard.

name one mod that touches DA's content? Oblivion has been modded to hell, very little in the way of story based content. I trust bioware mroe then modders, i ahve played mods for many games, very little in the way of great story based Mods, more gameplay changes and graphics, etc....

It's $5. Skip your lunch (god knows, most of you need it) for one day and there you have it. No need to cry and ruin it for people who want more DLC.

On the contrary, sheep like you who waste their money on junk like this only further encourages them to make cruddy DLC. I'm guessing the ones that need to skip lunch are the mouthbreathers that foam at non-content like this.

How is it a waste if someone spends 5 bucks and gets  a few hour enjoyment? Please explain? who are u to tell someone they get value out of 5 whole dollars? get off the soap box idiot.

I've spent $5 for a few minutes of enjoyment before; and with the risk of VDs aside I think that there is no harm in spending $5 on this DLC.

I like how people are ignoring the whole role-playing part of a DLC for a ROLE-PLAYING game. This isn't some random place that you have no connection to and are just there to kill or get embroiled into the problems of others. It's a huge part of what made your character who he or she is. If another survivor was found, and they gave you a plausible reason to return, to reclaim Duncan's body, to get some measure of closure, wouldn't you jump at the opportunity?

Now imagine you could do this for five bucks.

I'm sold.

I'll be buying it.

Every DLC purchase serves to support the future of Dragon Age. I'm all for that.

I havent seen any fanboys making thread after thread on the forums telling everyone how great the DLC is and that they have to buy it. Where as the opposite is certainly true....

no, i dont love to complain, actually. there are very few things that i complain about. DLC is one of them. i do want to see more content. i dont want to see it as DLCs.

someone already summed up the math earlier. you keep buying these and before you know it your "just $5" has turned into nearly the price of a full game, and you've only gotten a few items and maybe 5 hous of gameplay out of it.

again, frog in a pot of boiling water... =]

I seriously doubt I'm buying any more DLC until the 360 achievement glitch is fixed.

I'm still pretty pissed about that and have a sour taste in my mouth.  It'd be nice to see a fix before MORE DLC gets put out.

And exactly who are you to tell one person what THEIR time and money is worth, what THEY should buy for THEIR enjoyment? If you don't like it fine, say so and don't buy it. But don't call someone a sheep because they disagree with you on somethings vaule, it would be like me calling you a fool for passing this content up as it only costs $5.

Allow me to bring you to the hard realization that 98% of mods that come out for all games are pure crap. This is an alternative for those who want added content without the lower quality most mods deliever.

As for the expansion idea, is an expansion pack not just bigger and more expensive version of DLC that is sometimes filled with things I would have never bought? I like DLC, to me it's nothing but an expansion pack broken up into smaller pieces to allow you to pick and choose what you want and what you feel is worth spending money on. I'd rather spend $5-$10 on an hour worth of good content then $30-$40 for 2 hours of good content out of 8 or so hours.
