I vaguely remember a thread awhile back talking about this, but can't seem to pinpoint where the thread is...so I'll ask here. My issue is that I love the look of the mage armor from the dlc pack, but i am thinking eventually I may want another set of armor with different stat bonuses. Is there a way that I can make the other armors/robes look like the dlc mage armor?

I'm no modder myself but I seem to remember a few of them saying that the dlc files were locked/encrypted so that you couldn't modify any aspect of them which sucks I know.

You can break the encryption, but you can't do so legally.
What you *can* do is take a save with the gear you want (stats-wise) and a save with the DLC gear. Copy the templateresrefs of the gear from the DLC save into the gear from the stats save. The items will take on the names/appearances of the DLC items, but with the higher-level stats.

Sounds like a workable plan. What programs/files do I need to do this?

Of course, me being blind and all....is the following thread the one that will help with your suggestion?

Yes! The section for "Weapon/Armor model swapping" is the one to follow.
It says to use a .txt file to look up the model templateresrefs. The new DLC items won't be listed, which is why you'll have to use second savegame with the DLC gear equipped to copy/paste from

No one here is attempting that. That's piracy, and this is a pretty stupid place to bring that up.
