Psh Auron is too badass to accept the role of the main character. Balthier I have to admit may have been more suited for the role of the main character. He had a bigger connection than Vaan did. Still, it was an amazing game even with Vaan as the main character.
I don't mind them making the main characters teenage youth type people, but I do wish they'd actually act somewhat mature. Like the characters from FFXIII. Although Tidus is somewhat understandable given he was taken from his home and later finds out things he never expected.
I loved FFXIII's story, but I hated the fact that side quests came very late in the game.

Incidentally, have you played the Kingdom Hearts series?

Yes. They stopped being good after the first game.

Nonsense! They are still amazing!

Actually... do you think the KH games are still amazing, Mr. Link?

you win this battle of youtube links, as I have nothing to retort back with.

But the KH games are still amazing. Sora and Riku are becoming full-fledged Keyblade Masters now!

Clapton's one of my heroes of music. Right up there with Warren Zevon, Kurt Cobain, and.... god I have way too many music heroes to name.

Now, back on topic: Don't kill Merrill!! Thank you for your time.

anyway, Clapton is awesome.

I second that, do not, under any circumstances, slay Merril! But you can kill that whiner Anders how many times you want! :)

agreed. While I personally don't kill Anders (for various reasons), I see no problem in other people doing so.

But Merrill should never be killed.

Can you even kill Merrill? And why would you want to keep Anders alive. He's like the WRPG version of Tidus(to me, anyway).

I don't throw away allies, and I don't feel Sebastian is reliable.

Yes you can. Just don't do any of her quests.

As for Anders. He's a useful healbot. I don't always spare him but I don't always kill him either.

And Kingdom Hearts is awesomesause. <3

Sebastian's reaction mostly. And that I personally justify Anders and would rather he witness the poetic justice rather than inevitably be made a martyr. He personally didn't want to be one (and yes I've killed him in a playthrough) but he would've been made one anyway.

Death is never justice

Despite my extreme dislike of Elthina's inaction, that was one thing I liked most about her. Killing Anders isn't justice. It doesn't bring back the souls of anyone, and Sebastian is a fool to think that killing Anders will make everything better.

Plus, I see it as that final nudge for Sebastian to realize he needs to take back Starkhaven. He wanted a sign from the Maker? Well I said "Screw the Maker. Take back your lands for your people."

See, that's what I don't get. Why does Sebastian need an army to take out Anders, when he just could've gone Sister Petrice on his ass.

2 was better.

oh god I hated 1's camera system. Well, that's not true. Back then I liked it, but it's hard to go back to that after 2 improved it so much. I also liked how Sora now uses more keyblade combo type attacks rather than the standard 3-5 attack bashing he had in 1.

Also, 3 will have FMV graphics. Nomura has said he wants to make full use of the PS3's capabilities and he's working really hard to get us cutscenes like the FMV ones. Of course, this was many months ago and things may have changed.

Also, look at the stuff Riku and Sora (who are both playable) are doing in Dream Drop Distance:

And we get to see Xehanort! Not Master Xehanort, at least not yet, but Xehanort! And Notre Dame is there, which makes me really happy

Maybe its just me I like helping Merril out completely and then killing the entire evil stupid elven clan, its really their fault all this transpired with the Eluvian, not Merril.

It's the keeper's fault. She spread baseless fears about Merrill that inevitably caused the confrontation. Though the clan were full grown adults so they're not innocent either, but Marethari was the catalyst of everything.

Merril is a very smart mage, she can hold her ground when Anders try to make her "see" his way.. lol!

I like her alot!

If you killed the clan.. well I guess you didn't read all the options.

Only thing I hated about KH2 was Atlantica. I didn't like a musical world. Felt... out of place.

the only reason I'll buy a 3DS is for Kingdom Hearts 3DS: DDD.

I'm probably the biggest Kingdom Hearts fan/nerd/Keyblade Master in my state.

I read all the options.  "It was my fault" was an outright load of crap.  So I didn't choose it.
