Basically what I did was accidentally delete my first (and only at this time) personal save game (the other one being the autosave) while playing Mass Effect from within the game, by clicking the "delete save" button instead of the "save game" one, and had to create a new fresh save. While I did not loose any progress whatsoever story wise, as I was playing on mentioned saved game, and re-saved the game afterwards, I was wondering if this would have any negative impact at all on the save file itself when you import it into ME2 (like choices not being properly imported, amongst other things, etc.)? I suspect this is the same system the game uses when you overwrite a previous save, as the one before is wiped to make room for the new one (hence overwrite), but was curious to get some input from the community as I'm quite a perfectionist with my playthroughs, and would hate to have any misshaps. Thanks in advance.

ME2 imports the last autosave from just before the final battle with Saren. All you are doing is creating more convenient saves. Nothing you actually do with them matters for the import.
