I got some repeater gloves and I'm just wondering what exactly the "rapid aim" on them does... and also I want to know whether its effect stacks on top of the crossbow I have which has by default rapid aim listed under it ("antique warden crossbow").
So three questions basically:
1) What effect exactly does rapid aim have?
2) Does rapid aim stack? (i.e. x2 rapid aim when I'm using my crossbow)
3) Does rapid aim affect melee attacks whatsoever? (I'm mostly a duelist dagger rogue, rarely use my crossbow)
What does "Rapid Aim" do?

1-Rapid aim help you shoot faster than normal.
2-Doesn't stack with another rapid aim, as far as I learned from my playthroughs
3-Rapid aim ONLY available for bow, as you can see, it exists only on the archer tree. For the melee attack with dual weapon, there is the equivalent talent: Momentum (on the dual weapon tree)

Repeater Gloves are the best gloves you can give to an archer in the game, pretty useless for everything else.
1) Rapid Aim on items: http://dragonage.wik...ctors_Reference
2) See previous
3) No, neither rapid aim, or Rapid Shot which is what liona is talking about, affect melee. Momentum does, as does haste, as does the Warrior's Wardens Keep talent Blood Thirst, but they dont all work together.

Rapid Aim is supposed to stack. Normally, it shaves 0.3 seconds off your aim time, up to a maximum effect of 3.0 seconds. The Repeater Gloves have a bug which takes off the full 3.0 seconds instead of 0.3 seconds, so unless you're using a mod that fixes this (like Dragon Age Rules Fixpack), then nothing else really stacks with the gloves since you're getting the full effect from them.

Just as a point of interest, how long is the normal aim time? (i.e. with no rapid aim modifier at all)
