The same bugs that'll prolly show up regardless?

Cloned ME1 Cerberus Rachni ftw.

Not officially, no but given BW's track record with "player choice" in ME2 and that we're fighting Cerberus no matter what, I wouldn't doubt it.

This actually makes a whole lot of sense. Either way (Queen lives or dies), there will be rachni husks. Cerberus supplies the Reapers with Rachni clones to make husk fodder. Might ****** off people who were expecting saving the Queen to have consequences, but makes sense from a development standpoint.

From a gameplay standpoint, they aren't. They still fight the same number of enemies as a paragon. It's just the reactions that are the "punishments."

Like what?

I play renegade sometimes, and I really didn't notice being "punished."

Yeah, why waste all that time and efforting creating Rachni husks when a sizable portion of the playbase wouldn't even see them? That Cerberus is an enemy is even more convenient as they have a history of Rachni experiments.

Anybody expecting anything other than cosmetic changes for their "choices" at this point is extremely naive.

Lack of cameos and certain choices being made into a joke from a meta perspective(sacrifice the council).

It's really silly to expect some kind of reward for killing as many characters as possible.

How DARE people expect equal content like in DA:O. The sheer arrogance and gaul that they have is apalling!

Me neither. When I go Reneade on people's asses, they probably deserved it. That's an reward in itself if you ask me.

Dead people not coming as cameo? What a shock!

And how the hell sacrificing Council was made into a joke.
My canon might be Paragon, but I killed them with him and I did not felt punished in ME2.

There is no equal content in Dragon Age. I killed Zevran in Origins - I miss a quest in DA2.

Yeah, it's not like we have a human dominated council to show up instead.

I was speaking of DA:O itself not DA2. There you can pick sides between Elves or Werewolves and neither choice is punished.

And what do you see as a fitting "punishment"? Choosing one doesn't mean you get a carbon copy of the other's abilities in the final battle.

My point was that there being no "punishment" in that DA:O situation is a GOOD thing. They both had their pros and cons without one better than the other.

Not like this ME garbage where the Paragon choice gets to save the council with minimal losses and the Renegade one doesn't get to see the human dominated council.

I do believe his main focus was on the cameo-over quests from the main-story decisions... which did have equal carryover from Origins.

There's a point about killable characters not returning, but for larger quests, and especially story quests, there really shouldn't be a reason that cameos and reoccurances only follow one particular person who may/may not die.

It's flat out unacceptable and inexcusable for the human council not to show up as they logically would have also appeared in ME3.

It's not like we don't already have a precedence with Wreav replacing Wrex if the latter died in ME1.

Okay, let's talk cameos:

Gianna Parasini: A renegade can still get this cameo by intimidating Lorik to testify.  You only miss out if you intentioanlly go out of your way to get her killed.  Also, I THINK paragons can miss out on it too if they got the garage pass from Anoleis--a "pure" paragon doesn't even accept Lorik's sidequest.

Fist: This cameo is hard to get because you have to be a paragon AND Wrex can't be in your party.  And, as hard as it is to get, it's one somewhat goofy conversation.  I've actually never even had him in my game because of Wrex, and after watching it on Youtube, I can't say I'm missing out.

Helena Blake: Again, a "pure" paragon doesn't even accept her sidequest, and a renegade can still get her by intimidating her into giving up her life of crime.  It's really easy to not hit the "imma shoot you" button.  Also, by killing Helena, you get the immediate reward of gaining experience in battle.

Shiala: This is the only one where you legitimately miss out for playing renegade, I think.  Then again, killing her seems REALLY forced, as if the game is like, "Are you SURE you want to just gun this chick down?  Are you SURE?  Seriously, we are giving you a lot of time to reconsider this."  Besides, you still get the colonist.

The Council: Oh, come on, like you miss those dicks?  Yeah, I can understand being a little let down by not getting to see the new Council, but less Ah yes, "Reapers" means more dialogue with Anderson.

Rodam Expeditions Guy: Sucks that you can't get the store discount, but I think having a turian be a colossal ass to you is a good indicator of the galaxy you're creating--more power for humans, but less holding hands.

Conrad: He thinks you're a renegade, anyway.

Wrex: Renegades can still save him if they have a high enough intimidate score or did his sidequest.  Meanwhile, if you didn't, you get Wreav, and with that an entirely different Tuchanka.
