Is there a date yet for this DLC EA is offering a Christmas deal on DLC for this game that runs from Dec 25 to the 31st so the DLC has to come out sometime during that window.

Whilst this is the most likely scenario....if you follow 'all' Morrigan's dialogue choices when your in the hut after being rescued from the tower, she specifically says if you push her that:

'survivors are dragged down beneath the earth'....

Sooooo....in theory...it is possible he wasnt killed and was 'dragged down etc etc'....we know we will find some items of duncans...but what of duncan himself....depending on the timeline of TtO (how soon after the battle it is)...there 'should' be a body....and if there isnt...???????

Okay, so thigs got me thinking and first off I know that this is a totally crack pipe theory but it's a theory none the less.

So what if Duncan was fairly far gone into the taint or he has been dipping into the Darkspawn goodness like Ruck.  Maybe he has some Duncan's Beard ability to not show the terrible side effects like Ruck or maybe it agrees with him.  Maybe he wasn't dead and managed to escape somewhere in the Deep Roads, Ruck said he could easily hide from the Darkspawn and they wouldn't notice him if he was quiet.  So maybe Big D just hid out and is really alive.  Oh man would the look in Alistair's face and the inevitable stupid response be priceless.

They drag them underground so that when it comes to mealtime they can eat them. People if you watch the battle for Ostagar cutscene again then you will happen to notice Duncan is on the ground while he watches the king get owned. He then summons the strength to take down the ogre. Once that is done he grabs his chest and stumbles to the ground. He is on the ground as the darkspawn 2-hander comes in to cleave him in two. If Duncan had any chance of NOT being eaten/slaughtered then it would be in running away. Now if a hero like Duncan is lying on the ground from his wounds then something tells me he cant run. 

Duncan cant flee the darkspawn = he is dead or is darkspawn dinner

It was entertaining to read your comments. You're so impatient.

Anyways, since Return to Ostagar was announced for this holiday season... I don't expect it to arrive before Christmas or Boxing Day. I will now leave my PC for... *having a look at the clock* 48 hours in order to celebrate Christmas with my family. No more thought about Ostagar here, when it's done it's done. I don't like hasty things.
So, have a PEACEFUL Christmas everyone - without thinking too much of RtO.

I'm not a tester (wish I was though!) but while trying to not give a spoiler, there is a conclusive Fergus update at some point in the base game already.

If he "hid" and survived the battle then he would have to survive until you got back from the final battle which is months after the battle for Ostagar. (It takes you 2 weeks and 4 days minimum to get from Orzamar to the Circle of Mages. You tell me if Duncan could hide for months with the wounds he sustained. Remeber if Ostagar is now overrun with darkspawn, hungry darkspawn which DO eat each other then just because he has darkspawn blood in him doesn't mean he wont become a meal. On the contrary, Alistar said that "we can detect the darkspawn and they can detect us". It was only something that Flemeth gave to morrigan that helped you travel out of the Wilds without them detecting you.

I don't think requesting the date is going to get it here any faster. There's a process and I imagine if they could have capitalized on holiday sales of some sort, they would have done so. There's got to be something more than "we went on vacation, sorry".

See that part were it says crack pipe theory.  Yeah that would mean it is rather impossible.  I also used the only bit of info, Ruck stating that hiding isn't a challenge for him and that he can sense as well to support my crazy theory.  I'm not saying it's what's going to happen or that it should.  But it could be a possibility.

lol, Of corse something will happen in the future. That is a "prediction" that has a 100% chance of coming round.

Well at least a moderator is around even if we cant get any info out of you other than the fact that something will happen in the future. Actually "something will happen in the future" sounds a lot like "Available this holiday season"!

i keep lookin at the marketplace on xbox live and seeing dragonage in the new dlc area and all it is is the warrdens keep i keep getting exicted it has happen at least 12 times i just want a date so i can stop getting so happy for nothing
