i just want a holiday greeting from Bioware.
A "Merry Christmas from Bioware!" e-mail or splash page would be nice.

That statement is misleading. In Orthodox Christianity, Christmas does fall on the 25th of December, like in the rest of the world. However, unlike the rest of the world, it's the 25th of December in the Julian, not Gregorian calendar. So, in the Gregorian calendar, it's the 7th of January. And since it's the Gregorian calendar that is used in those countries, Christmas is celebrated on the 7th of January.
I'm greek and an orthodox christian and we also celebrate the Christmas eve today. So, no, we don't celebrate christmas on the 7th of January. Only the easter dates are different between churches. It's amazing what you guys can think to explain the "delay" of this add-on.
Let's hope it's going to be an interesting add-on because I wasn't so much satisfied from the previous ones. At least for this one, its title is very promising and mysterious.

Even most of those with different beliefs must contend with the days off offered by their employers.

All this religious bickering is pointless....when they said this holiday season they appealed to the holiday season as it applies to 99.99999999% of their gamers and probably most of their staff and developers.......X-mas=Dec. 25 and New Years=Dec 31/Jan 1.
Even most of those with different beliefs must contend with the days off offered by their employers.
I agree but we might as well face the facts that all the programmers and at least most of the modderators and such are already off for the holidays. The one we saw on here yesterday had to have been a fluke, and we most likely wont see this DLC till after January 1st at this point when they all get back to work.

Well it is a fact that MS and XBL staff are not off for the hollidays as new demos and DLC were posted this morning and they have a count down callendar with special daily deals going on that requires them to update XBL on x-mas day and Dec 31 as well which means that if BioWare is done with the DLC it is also out of their hands.....they WERE trying to have it out on PC and 360 by x-mas which means certification and all so even if they failed I doubt they spent all 11 days on it and XBL DOES list RtO as "Coming Soon" and has listed it as such for a week......XBL has never in my experience listed anything more than 2 weeks out as "Coming Soon".
Now PSN and Sony staff are officially out for the year and no more PSN updates untill Jan 5th or 14th I think so the PS3 gamers really have no hope of getting it but that is not the case with the PC and 360.

It's been brought up before.....this thread is over 100 pages and plenty of people have been brainstorming. It's certainly possible but we'll have to wait and see.

In essence stating that if BioWare or EA (or an official representive of either) makes an announcement regarding any improvements or added features or content to an existing product line (henceforth to be called "Melioration"), that it must be announced with everything in place to deliever such announcement within thirty (30) days of said announcement. If said announcement is "not" delivered within the thirty (30) days as required by this new statute #??????, than said company is obligated to issue "Bioware Points"! The BioWare Points will be issued to ALL registered game users (for the product line being effected by said announcement). The amount of said BioWare Point compensation, would be the same amount as the cost of said melioration (Example: RTO DLC cost = $5.00 ~~ RTO compensation = $5.00).
This would ensure that the community affected would remain on a positive track, while also ensuring said company doesn't use false advertising for what ever the reason, to accomplish what ever the goal.
There would be NO exceptions, PERIOD!

Just a thought............. Gunny
PS: May you all have a Merry Holiday and a safe and Happy New Year!!

For xbox players it kind of bites to have to wait because the patch is supposedly being released on the same timeline. Granted I played the gamne alot without the patch but i would love to give it a re-visit with the patch installed.
a patch what kind of patch?

Fot the issues we have....though minor they are....it fixes the achievements for those that earned DLC achievements before Nov. 6th and a few other issues we face.

At least we've been given updates about Return to Ostagar.
What are you talking about? The last time they said anything about it was when they first announced it.
Thanks for posting a worthless comment.
