At the end of the day it's only an hour long DLC priced at $4.

However I don't think Bioware should be putting their customers off like this. I know they're on Holiday right now, we know it's not coming out today or tomorrow, we know they're late, we've known for some time now...I mean grow a pair Bioware.

I think the one hour long length was not an official statement by bioware

and I hope its longer than that.

Bah, this holiday season ship has sailed. No bioware gift this year I suppose...

Giving the amount of expectation here, I'm afraid Bioware is in a no-win situation. Return to Ostagar is not a full game, and if it is anything like Wardens Keep, folks will complain bitterly.

I also don't see any devs here hyping the DLC...which tells me they may be trying to keep people's expectations down

Christmas is tomorrow...holiday season....which holiday? President's day? Most games bore me by the time the DLCs get rolling, and I do not even rush through games. We will all be playing new games once Xmas hits, so a $5 DLC is not as exciting as say, two week's ago...even Bioware has a new game coming out in a few week's in ME2, so it's real odd that a short DLC got delayed this long. Teases are great, but coming through with less tease = GREATER!!

That said, I will be bored one night, and play it...just not sure if short DLCs will keep me interested much longer. Expansions people, expansions!!! $25 for 20-30 hours...that's the way to go!!! For the gamer anyway...maybe fiscally that is not good for EA and Bioware though...but then again, gaming is one of the few business enterprises where it is negligible that the customer is really the main focus.

I don't mind delays for some sort of expansion level DLC, but this is bitesize. This delay is ridiculous.

At this rate they'll release RtO when Mass Effect 2 comes out.

Then again maybe that's the intention, bring out the DLC when most BioWare fans will be busy with the shiny new game, sales will plummet and EA will remove it's tentacles from the DLC business allowing for real expansions to be made!

99% of the people consider Christmas the Holidays in the USA. Why would they announce this DLC in late November if they did not want to get it out to capitalize on Christmas and the fact most people will be at home, and the gamers would be more than happy to purchase new content for their game. But that time will be past soon so much for Bioware capitializaing on people purchasing this before the holidays when they are off work.

orignally it was supposed to be before christmas, but due to the extra stuff they added it delayed that. So Bioware has said nothing so far because december has two holidays in its holiday season so they figure just moved it back to the second holiday, so still the release date is not wrong and will arrive like they said it would this holiday season.

I read all those 115 pages and after thinking about voice actings, some unique items, armors and arms, all the other things involved with this DLC and also certification process price dropping and adding some extra content, I think this delay isn't unexpected. Also I think even 10 bucks will fit for this kind of content, if you think about how much effort it takes to create them of course. This isn't some kind of homemade mod without cutscenes and voice acting after all.

Personally, I give up about RtO's availability mid-Jan after Rob said that:

But I wonder if we ever get a DLC takes place "after" Denerim and Ferelden saved. I mean I didn't satisfied with the pictures and stories at the ending and I want to see how my actions effected people around my character.

I just think it's funny that the DLC seems to start at the lands of Bann Loren... I mean, didn't most of that family just get killed in the human origin? XD I wonder if that means an extra twist for humans...

Then are you saying a full expansion with voice acting and 4-8 hours of content should cost $50 or more. In this economy they can't excpect to nickle and dime us to death like that. from what i've read from the DEV'S comments about this DLC a vetern player could get through this upcoming DLC in less than a hour much like Wardens keep which was a big dissappointment. I'm all for being fair like if they came out with something that took like 3 hours to get through I would pay $10-$15 for that. http://social.biowar...dex/241198&lf=8

Of course Im not saying that, but i think 5$ is just fine for what we gonna get. I read Rob's posts by the way.

On a second thought, if BW says "hey, we got an expansion pack, its Dragon Age: Bla Bla, it takes place after you kill Archedemon, also it has 5 to 7 hours of playtime, and it comes out tomorrow  but we're selling it from 50 bucks. " Seriously, I will buy it. But it will be a "Downloadable Robbery" of course :)  .

Yes the world ends in 2012. Question is, which comes first - RtO or the end of all life as we know it. Bets anyone?

Third option:  Duke Nukem Forever goes gold :D

I been looking at other DLC on other games like Forza 3 for example, how is it those devs can give soo many cars and tracks free or just charge 400points? Also what about Mass Effect 1? Pinnacle station is only 400points and that is around 2-3hrs gameplay by Bioware.

Going through other DLC on other games for 400points you get soo much more whereas Bioware were going to charge more than 400points for a returning to a place we have all already been to.

Its pretty cheeky in my opinion also the fact that I guarentee that the DLC for DragonAge can be done in around 30mins.

So Bioware how do you justify 400points when you yourselves have released content for the first Mass Effect for 400points offering over 2hrs of gameplay and a whole new place to go to?
