The lack of communication is starting to extract the urine. I wouldn't mind if they just came out and said 'Mucked up. Sorry. More news when we know anything'.

Could it be a symptom of being owned by EA? Conspiracy theories abound!

They forgot to add the Coca Cola Advertising board in RtO, thats why there is a delay. They had to quickly add in the billboard. Advertising is good money, EA loves money... immersion?? pfft whats that!

At least thats my theory. In reality its probably some legality that has caused the delay and most likely on the console side of things.

Or, the lack of communication could be because, y'know, it's likely still Christmas Day where they are and they'd rather enjoy it with their families.

They could have given a full update to us at anytime before Christmas as to what the hold up was on the DLC or officially gave a new release date for it. But they didn't. !!! The last comment a DEV said was over 14 days ago and it was the fact he needed more coffee. Man that was the info we all have been waiting on the edge of our seats for.:P

good point there can't really expect anyone else to bust thier butts on a day when everyone else expects to be able to lay around not do anything. and people who realy enjoy the game will still buy it when it comes out, it's not like I will refuse to buy some DLC for a great game just because it came out late. besides they had some great DLC when the game released, that's the problem with people these days is all about self gratification and entitlement, if they want DLC that bad make their own on the PC version.

Oh?  I was sure Bethesda announced the DLC for Fallout 3 was always meant to be for just the 360 & PC.  Though 'A version may possibly be made abailable for the PS3...  One day'. may have been mentioned.  Then you finally got them in fairly sharp order.

And I somehow doubt that EVERY Bioware staff member gets two full weeks off for christmas...  My money is on them all having been sacked.

Nope. When the dlc for Fallout 3 was announced, they said there were no current plans to release it for the ps3. Which immediately cause a lot of ****ing and moaning, even though it was pointed out that "no plans at this time" doesn't equal "never". It was much more dramatic for the ps3 "martyrs for the cause" to denouce Bethesda for hating the ps3 users by stating there would never ever to the power of infinity ever be dlc for the ps3. Even though that isn't what they said. Other posters pointed out the other time that Bethesda said they had no current plans for something, Shivering Isles was announced shortly thereafter....but the most vocal of the ps3 players didn't want to hear it. The mods on their forums had a lot of work for a while.

I won't automatically buy anything from Bioware now that its EAbioware. Before, hearing about a new game from Bioware would be an immediate pre-order. Now, I'll wait and see what the game is like first. EA is going to have to improve an incredibly huge amount before I would consider thinking about pre-ordering anything they are involved with. Bad, really bad past experience is really hard to overcome.

As for the new dlc, unless I missed a specific news release stating an exact date, there is still time in the "holiday season". If it passes New Year's, then its late. Until then, its on time.

Stop being so pessimistic, those guys are probably busting their butts just to make it all perfect and to top it off they have people screaming at them to hurry up and probably when it does come out you will whine some more and say oh its too short or some other junk just so you can feel good about yourself. If you really want to play the DLC then you will not mind having to wait a little bit longer. I am a little dissapointed in the lack of communication but what if this is just because they are releasing it like tomorrow or something? Anyways don't let this discourage you from getting the DLC, these guys worked hard on it so they deserve to be compensated for it a little bit.

When I get to play it and it's better the the disappointing DLC wardens keep. I will be the first to give them praise.

Honestly, it's kinda typical of BioWare. They're GREAT on the games, but when it comes to DLC, eh, not so great. How long did Mass Effect go between the first and second DLCs? It's a great game, but I don't think anyone is ever going to buy a BioWare game thinking, "And they're SURE to have tons of great DLCs, expansions, and whatnot!" If that's what someone's looking for, Bethesda's the way to go. Between Oblivion and Fallout 3, they've probably put out more DLC than any other RPG maker, and good DLC at that.

Maybe by, "Holiday season," they meant Labor Day weekend of 2010.

I agree I'm also a big Betsheda fan myself. I like this game alot and there is revolutionary things implimented in this game, and the extent of voice acting and length of story that I just love. Oblivion although I loved that game it was very short in legnth, story, and variety of voice actors. If the toolset to this game was as easy to use as Bethshda's and the game was completly open ended like Oblivion I would say this was a perfect game.

Compensated? Are you concerned how "compensated" the guy selling you a sandwich is? We are CONSUMERS, not their parents and friends. They are merchants, they are not doing us favors. This is a marketplace, not free snacks that one of the kid's Mom's brought for after the game.

I just want them to come through when they post something.

So "holiday season" is the debate?

Last I checked "holiday season" is Thanksgiving to Xmas. When did the week from Xmas to the New Year become part of the holiday season? It isn't. The two holidays in the season are Thanksgiving and Xmas.

And there are far too many apologists on here.

Last time I checked we spend money for these products. This isn't free. Do you apologize for the car dealer when they don't get your car to the dealership as promised?

This is a consumer issue...not an issue about how much it is, or how long it will be. We already know it will be cheap and short. I have no issue with that.

My issue is the way they treat the customer.

The joke is on me of course as I have pre-ordered ME2...but I will not play it right away, to keep from getting bored. Perhaps I need to adjust my consumer patterns, not Bioware and EA adjusting their marketing strategy...oh look, I just became an apologist!!!

Blast!!!

at least it will be re-playable so 5$ isn't too bad considering what you can get that doesn't last nearly as long......and you can't reuse a cup of coffee O.o

Hmm yes but coffee is good, 20-30 minute DLC'S are bad. I would rather wait for a full expansion myself and pay $20-$30  for it.

If you buy $4.00 cups of coffee you enjoy getting ripped off.

If you compare consumable goods to a video game you enjoy making horrible analogies.
