I don't know how much the rest of you know about American culture (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in Canada where you can become successful by being an ****. If you screw someone over in America, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.
What this means is the American public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase Return To Ostagar for either system, nor will they purchase any of Bioware's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Bioware has alienated an entire market with this move.
Bioware, publicly apologize and release some info or you can kiss your business goodbye.

Read the rest of this thread?! It's one hundred and twenty five pages long and growing. If BioWare is, in fact, embedding their official posts on the subject in this thread then whoever is making the decisions urgently needs a rectal craniotomy.have any of you read the rest of the thread?

Right on the money there Prince. Everyone, all Prince is refering to is good business customer service, the way business should be. Bioware has shot itself in the leg if you ask me. From here on it is going to have to limp uphill while doing a lot of apologising and hard work to make up for this lack of communication, aside from the release of the RTO DLC.

not to worry, ign has a tendency to throw the date of a release at the end of the month when they dont actually have a release date during that month. Hope it helps.

Not to take this short discussion on to a tangent or anything, but just a general poll to the other readers:
How many of you have actually heard a bunch of hungry baby vultures?
Just out of curiosity, because I'm having as much difficulty picturing this metaphor as I am in seeing myself play RtO before my holiday break is over and my

Plus, value in terms of food and gaming is a totally different economy. The economy of value in a gaming isn't relative to how much a Big Mac costs, but is rather relative to how much gaming you're getting per dollar spent. Say if Dragon age is $50 and took up 50 hours of my time, then it's $1 per hour. If DLC costs $5 and takes 1 hour, then that's $.20 per hour. As a value proposition, the DLC is worth much less.

I started reading some of the comments on here, and just started laughing. Some of you guys say the funniest things. Wow, I am impressed. Well at least if RtO doesnt release anytime soon I will have 125 pages of diverse and unpredictably randomn humour to read.
Patience people, please. Thank you. And don't forget, its Christmas for Bioware too!

...the PS3 version will not arrive until the New Year. For PC and X360, we're still working hard to get it out in time for Christmas but we're not out of the woods quite yet. We'll put out another press release once we're 100% confident of the dates.
Thanks for your patience and I hope you enjoy the adventure once it's finally available.
For Ferelden!

Right now, we're on the knife edge to see if we can get the X360 version out in time - they did find a critical issue that we're currently working hard to fix. PC still appears to be on track but anything can happen.
There. There it is. There's the word. Obviously, they're either still working on the issue, or just not 100% certain of the release date. Since Christmas is technically over, its safe to say they're STILL WORKING ON IT, and will update when they have a DEFINITIVE DATE.

Obviously, asking for an update is too much. Everyone should be ashamed for asking for a single update since we had one two weeks ago that, as you so kindly quoted, said at least the PC version still appeared to "be on track".
There now. Everyone suitably ashamed of themselves? Good. Now back to your regularly scheduled thread.

Also before anyone else feels bad for bioware when it comes to the cost of the project and time to make it look at this 1st. http://www.mygaming....e-the-cash.html
I hope when they do release this DLC it is worth the wait and not a disappointment like wardens keep. If they want to puch this thing back thats fine but at least let all of us players know and for God's sake at least change your advertisement from this Holiday season to when we get around to it or something.
It will be a disappointment. They sold Warden's keep at $7 then decided to sell Return to ostagar at $5 but then lowered the price to reflect it's length. I.e it's very very short.
But then lucky for us they made it up by hyping it up and creating SUSPENSE! by not telling us when it will be released such as to ensure that we WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED with the length when it comes out.
I of course kid because Return to Ostagar will be out
THIS HOLIDAY SEASON!
