Mate, It's just a few days late. Relax. How on earth could ME2 share the same fate? Five day late DLC isn't a 'fate' its an unfortunate reality of the games industry. Now, shush and start making unfunny jokes with the rest of us!

I'm betting that this DLC will be out Early - mid january. That is why they are too afraid to tell us anything

Compensated? Are you concerned how "compensated" the guy selling you a sandwich is? We are CONSUMERS, not their parents and friends. They are merchants, they are not doing us favors. This is a marketplace, not free snacks that one of the kid's Mom's brought for after the game.
I just want them to come through when they post something.
So "holiday season" is the debate?
Last I checked "holiday season" is Thanksgiving to Xmas. When did the week from Xmas to the New Year become part of the holiday season? It isn't. The two holidays in the season are Thanksgiving and Xmas.
And there are far too many apologists on here.
Last time I checked we spend money for these products. This isn't free. Do you apologize for the car dealer when they don't get your car to the dealership as promised?
This is a consumer issue...not an issue about how much it is, or how long it will be. We already know it will be cheap and short. I have no issue with that.
My issue is the way they treat the customer.
The joke is on me of course as I have pre-ordered ME2...but I will not play it right away, to keep from getting bored. Perhaps I need to adjust my consumer patterns, not Bioware and EA adjusting their marketing strategy...oh look, I just became an apologist!!!
Blast!!!

Precisely. Developers know fan boys will let them get away for murder so they treat release dates like it's a joke. For some reason giving updates which is something BARE MINIMUM has become some kind of favour to us when it happens.

People will complain no matter what unfortunately.

Yeah but keeping to a release date THAT THEY SET THEMSELVES. Is about the easiest thing to do to avaoid complaints.
We're not asking them to price it so no one complains. Or make it such that the length suits everyone.

How do you justify not keeping to a date you set yourself? I don't care if there are certification delays and stuff. You don't add stuff last minute because of this. You dont screw around with release dates.

Why so much hostility over a DLC that is only supposed to take an hour (more or less) to complete? Quit crying about it and relax.

Quit reading this thread then. Whinning about whinning is better than whinning?

Maybe

Hello guys, i saw on IGN the 29th for the DLC, no idea where they get there info though. But i do think it make sense. Hope it helps.

So you say IGN is giving 29th Decemeber yet bioware webpage says "This Holiday Season" and they are not telling us it will be out on 29th on this thread when it's 26th today?

What are the chances IGN is right?

That could be any time until january as mentioned so my advice just play another game until it comes out or if you haven't beat the story yet do that until now no matter how much you complain it wont help you get it any faster even though i my self cant wait either. Can't wait to see what they come out with next.

Pfffft......whining about something other than whining is far superior to whining about whining by virtue of less whining. When whining about whining you inevitably draw whining about whining about whining since the first person to whine always believes has the right to whine and then I jump in to clear things up by whining about whining about whining about whining.

Now for my personal whining....where the hell is RtO? Can we get an update damn it?

Not to take this short discussion on to a tangent or anything, but just a general poll to the other readers:

How many of you have actually heard a bunch of hungry baby vultures?

Just out of curiosity, because I'm having as much difficulty picturing this metaphor as I am in seeing myself play RtO before my holiday break is over and my slavedrivers employers have me safely back in my cage cubicle.

Now that you said it. Do baby vultures actually leave their nest for you to see them (do they have a nest). They seem pretty small to be eating corpses on their own :)

I hope it comes out on the 29th. Just knowing of an ETA would make me feel at ease. I'm starting to get the shakes waiting for my next DLC injection.

This thread is now officially rated M for Mature as it now contains drug references

My bets are on late January to mid February.

Wow and i though I was pessimisstic. If this comes out AFTER ME2 who would actually play this instead of ME2? Assuming we're talking about bioware fan boys here

Plan for the worst, hope for the best. If you expect to be disappointed you can only be surprised when good things happen. Wow... I just realized how low my expectations really are... That's a disturbing realization..

Not a fanboy (fangirl, whatever) but I will. Hadn't even heard of ME2 until I signed up for this forum and I hadn't heard about DA until October and decided to pre-order it on a whim as a birthday present to myself. Best present I've ever bought me. Still haven't decided if I want to get ME2.

I'll take that bet. Obviously if you win I'll get some DLC to play. What do I get if I win? :D

How about we let Bioware decide if we should get it. If they say "ME2 will have 2 years of DLC" we'll avoid it. But buy it otherwise :) Considering our experience with the awesome DLC's

actually I'm not really confident with Bioware's "2 year DLC" plan for DAO.

Which is why we wont get ME2 if they announce 2 years of DLC for it. Due to confidence or to be precise lack there of

it would be nice if DAO will have like 8-10 small DLCs and 3-4 huge expansion packs in a span of 2 years.

The Holiday Season is not over people. Technically it goes on till New Year's Eve. Yes, I know, we all want to play the DLC, but, just show some restraint.
