holiday season has come and gone... what gives??
hopefully they're adding two or three more hours to the DLC to make it worthwhile
See what I mean? The longer we are made to wait, the higher the expectations...

Um... ok... Little Paw... I don't know where you have been, but Christmas to new years has been the "Holiday season" since they existed as holiday seasons.
-Government officials usually get christmas to just after new years off
- Christams day, boxing day and new years day are all Stat holidays... if you have a job and you think they are not, let them know. I'm sure they wouldn't mind paying you normal wage if you work those days.
- people have always said, "Happy holidays" and " have a merry christmas and a happy new year.
-As a retail manager I get extra days off during the, "holiday season" that you think doesn't exist... that's during Christmas to new years.
dictionary.com says this about holiday season
holiday season
noun
a time when many people take holidays
Wiki says this
The Christmas season,[1][2] the holiday season,[note 1] or simply the holidays is an annual festive period that surrounds the Christmas holiday and other holidays. It is sometimes synonymous with the winter season, and is usually said to occur between late November and early January....
Bioware is not late on this until Jan 2... just because you are a brat, does not make them late... try living real life as you wait...

Perhaps BioWare should sell the Dragon Age franchise to Bethesda Game Studios. It seems that they have no issue in getting DLCs completed, approved, uploaded, and available for purchase. Fallout 3 had 5, count 'em, 5 DLCs in their player's hands without unmet deadlines, disgruntled players, and sub-standard content. If Ostagar is indeed something a noob can play through in an hour, it is hardly worth the time, money and effort. I have seen some promising user created mods that appear to offer more than BioWare's retail DLC!
I truly hope that the folks at BioWare realize that this is bad business. If you can't deliver what you claim, then don't claim it. I have been in upper management with my company for 11 years. In my experience, there are a thousand excuses why a task can't be completed, but there are only two reasons why a task can't be completed: lack effort, or lack of knowledge. I read on of the moderators whine about how their delays were a result of "last minute" changes to the product. I work under deadlines every day. My boss changes things up on me from time to time, and I still have to meet the deadline, or I have to have unpleasant conversations with angry Vice Presidents as to why I am incompetent. If I have extra demands put on me, I work late, I work all night, I do what it takes to get the job done. Perhaps the folks at BioWare lack the sense of accountability and responsibility to both their company and their customers to "go the extra mile." Given the current state of the economy, companies are scratching to stay afloat. I guess BioWare's margins are simply doing so well that they don't need to worry about pesky customers and those hard earned dollars that they spend. Perhaps they have forgotten that they work in an industry that is a non-essential, luxury business.
I had to explain to my 12 year old son yesterday (Christmas) morning that the "Helion Shield" from Zelda that I purchased for him to complete his Legend Of Zelda collection will not likely be here until next week. He didn't seem to understand that some lazy moron in Florida "didn't get around to shipping it" in the 2 day time frame promised. Kids don't seem to consider the promise of something coming as something of value. Sure he was excited to hear that it was coming, but without product in hand, it means nothing. I have to say that, sadly, I know exactly how he feels.
This is becoming a joke, either deliver on your promises, or don't make promises at all. By not delivering this product on time, you will have accomplished one of two things with your players: either they will stop caring about your DLC, or they will have much higher expectations, longer game play, new NPCs, new item sets, new side quests, new party members, etc. My bet is your aren't going to live up to your customer's expectations. Just a hunch, though. Get your act together, BioWare, or sell. You finally have a successful game since God knows when, and you are blowing it.
Thank God you have LucasArts breathing down your necks over your SW: KOTOR MMORPG coming soon. I fear that "Emperor Lucas" will be far less forgiving than we are.

I'm not even going to beat the decaying horse about the whys for the delays, but seriously people, what do you expect them to say: "hey guys! we said it wouldn't be out for christmas, and it's not.. it should be out around the time we said it would be two weeks ago." Do you really need your hands held so much? Do you think your constant complaining is pushing them to do something? All it's showing is that you're hung-up on it and ready to follow the carrot. Do you really think Bio is concerned you'll miss out on a cheap dlc because you'll be too busy buying another one of their titles soon?
As the few intelligent people who've posted here have said, Bio delayed the release to accommodate player requests, and especially seeing as it's a thankless duty for the most part judging by this thread, that's pretty sweet of them. And seeing as accommodating they've been, I'll wager they'll post an update (wait for it...).. when there's something to update.
I'd throw some insult at most of you whiners if it weren't for the fact that I'm the bigger jackass for reading/posting in this thread along with ya. If you have issues with Bio: stop feeding their website activity and don't buy their games.
