You don't get it, WE WANT TO BUY THEIR GAMES!!!
My customers don't complain because they dislike my company; they complain because they DO like it and want us to be better when we let them down.
Get it?

So.. lets say you make a very popular successful business endevour, so successful that you decide its a good idea to continue to build on it, even tho it's already made you a butt-ton of cash and you've got other projects that could use your attention.

Now, since you're such an awesome guy, and all about the consumer, you announce an expansion on your project which is greeted with great enthusiasm, until they get a wiff of what it is youre going to sell - the people dont like it, think you might be short changing them, taking advantage of their loyalty.  They make suggestions - because they feel invested too.  So, under no obligation to do so, you go about adding more trinkets to keep the customers happy and you decide to lower the price, doing more work for less.. cause you're all about the customer.  Now, thanks to some stupid shipping company (we'll call them xbox and ps3 inc) you're going to have to wait for the final touches to be prepared.  Regretfully, you say to your loyal customers: "hey! we're doing all this great stuff that you asked for, and I really was hoping to get it to you by christmas, but thanks to some complications due to the changes, it might take an extra week!  thanks for your patience, we'll get it to ya as soon as possible!"

And here comes the day after christmas, and all these customers youve been working to satisfy, despite you not breaking any promises, despite you going out of your way to help them, are ready to torch your store.

What do you do, little?  Early release for the locals?  xbox and ps3 inc is going to be pissed, and the people who get the product shipped to them by that company are going to feel deliberately crossed.  That wouldn't be too consumerific, would it?

When it hits jan 3rd, ill eat the hat you bought if its not released.  Until then you people need to frickin chill - its just an hour long dlc.  Priorities people.. priorities!

I agree. I had much rather wait until they are 100% satisfied with the DLC before they release it.

I'd hate to play some half-assed game because we were being impatient and wanted them to get it out NOW.

And who knows - they may be adding more content to the DLC, since that was a big issue with many.

Come on, it's bioware they deserve to be cut some slack.

The holiday season isn't over yet. Quality is paramount.

Interesting nick... Let's see how ME did fare...

Cut some slack? For what? For not releasing proper patches for ME1? The great "bridging" DLC for ME1 that never came? The great DLC for ME1 that was actually crap? The lots of DLCs to be released for ME1?

BioWare has a history of not keeping promises. This is just another one.

Once again people:

1) Relax and calm down.

2) Go do something else.

3) Bioware will announce when the DLC is released.

4) Buy it (if you want) and play it then.

Complaining about stuff is just wasting your time. No amounts of cries of betrayal and pr disaster and other nonsense is going to make any difference in the world. It's just screaming into an abyss of bits.

If it makes you feel better, fine, post your complaint and then go do something fun with your free time.

If it reinforces your frustration, then take a breath and walk away.

Life is a series of challenges, and quite frankly, a late release of some DLC content for a computer game barely even counts as a challenge. It's something you shrug at and move on to something else for now.

Oh dear, all the short attention span "I WANT IT NOW!!!" brigade have finished unwrapping, dissing, and breaking their over-priced, hard earned but all the same, unappreciated presents. Let the poor Bioware peeps finish off their left over turkey before your start for christ's sake.

Yes, let them feast on their turkey. Little do they know they're making their way to the poison turkey!!
... there is a poison turkey, isn't there Smithers?

Smithers: No, I talked about this with our lawyers. They consider it murder.

Damn their oily hides!

Seen people react like this a billion times, they cry and feel "let down", they rage and rant the forums. And when the thing they were waiting for "finally" gets released everything goes back to normal, the mob will settle down and return to praising the game, a few stragglers will linger on for couple of days but will soon get cut down by the very people who stood with them during the "troubled times".

This cycle will then repeat itself, again and again and again.

The End

This DLC has become a PR disaster for Bioware.

Quite frankly, bollocks.

It's still the holidays until after New Year.

Yes, it would have been nice for someone at BioWare to give us an update, but bloody Hellfire, they are allowed time off too you know.

Now, once more for emphasis: bollocks.

Seconded.

Who created GreyWardens.Com?
[Persuade] GreyWardens.Com is a private blog and is in no way connected officially to BioWare or Electronic Arts or any other company.

No reason to believe that it is correct. My previous advice stands. Relax, have fun, enjoy any break time you have. When the DLC is ready, Bioware will announce that far and wide.

Yep there is nothing to do now but wait. The, This holodays deadline is missed no one can disprute that now. I'm just going to play 1 of my other games in the meantime till this DLC comes out. For me going through the game for an 8th time is not an option lol. Complaining about it at this point is worthless. It's not going to get the DLC out to us any quicker.

The only thing I would suggest to Bioware though is chnge the homepage ad for the addon from this Holidays to Delayed coming soon.

Bollocks. When you say holidays it means by 12/25. I bet Bioware targeted to have it released before then and didn't deliver.

Exactly my point in the Retail and consumer world the holiday season starts the day after thanksgiving through till December 24. So when Bioware tageted this holiday season they inferred that time frame.

Except in the 95% of the world that doesn't have Thanksgiving. There we consider "the holiday season" to mean Dec 24 through Jan 01. Which, I'm pretty sure, is what Bioware meant when they announced.

I hope it's true this time.  Before Christmas Day, the same site had a countdown to a 10AM ET US Christmas Day release for RtO.

No matter where in the world you are that celebrates the Holdays during this time of year. In the retail market do you release your item to capitaize  on sales before Christmas  to take advantage of the the time to get sales for revenue out of anyother time in the year. Or after Christmas when Most stores and online retaliers are getting flooded with returns. Thanksgiving is a mute point as being just a United states Holiday when whether you Celebrate Christmas or such you will most likely buy prior to this date not after.
