If you were my salesman or even co-owner I wold seriously be thinking of kicking you out, if you would do business like this. That's why I doubt if you are one.
Bragging about your business and talking about illegal downloads? Fine business you have. Second reason why I doubt if you have a business of your own. (Or it must be selling illegal software).
I would advise you to leave the sales and promotion of you "business", whatever it is, up to personnel who know how to handle this in a proper way, and a bulletin board is not one of the ways.
If you were a customer of mine I would be GLAD I lost you !
Totally beside the topic, but I had to react to this childish reply.
Sorry for that.
As for the topic: I have been reading lots of posts and still don't know what it's about. My suggestion: Put a lock on it. All I conclude a missing DLC is nothing worth to argue about (if that's the topic).

Once again people:
1) Relax and calm down.
2) Go do something else.
3) Bioware will announce when the DLC is released.
4) Buy it (if you want) and play it then.
Complaining about stuff is just wasting your time. No amounts of cries of betrayal and pr disaster and other nonsense is going to make any difference in the world. It's just screaming into an abyss of bits.
If it makes you feel better, fine, post your complaint and then go do something fun with your free time.
If it reinforces your frustration, then take a breath and walk away.
Life is a series of challenges, and quite frankly, a late release of some DLC content for a computer game barely even counts as a challenge. It's something you shrug at and move on to something else for now.
Thank you, Torias. You have just made my future gaming decisions for me, rather who I WON'T be purchasing software from. This goes back to my first post, and BioWare's biggest problem...bad business.
Hello Mr. Customer, I see you are interested in purchasing this house/car/computer/cup of coffee/comic book, but "life is a series of challenges" and we are simply not professionals and therefore we cannot provide you with your product at this time. Don't get upset! "It's something you shrug at and move on to something else for now."
Well, I have moved on. I have moved on to anything that doesn't have a BioWare label attached to it. You have insulted me, your customer, and my hard earned money. Don't worry, though, I will continue to use and abuse your Dragon Age: Origins title. I will likely use and abuse your future products, as well. You won't have to worry about my complaints, though, as I will likely be obtaining all of your future releases via B i t T o r r e n t or the like. I would have gladly paid for them, but I can't bring myself to, now. It's a matter of principle, you see.
I am also in the process of cancelling our orders for BioWare's products. Oops, I didn't mention that I am the software buyer for the chain of computer stores that I co-own. Gee, you didn't see that one coming, did you? When my customers ask why we don't carry your titles, I'll show them this response, and explain that, for BioWare "life is a series of challenges" and given BioWare's unreliability and poor customer service, we have chosen to spare you, our customer, the frustration of dealing with them. If you want it, order it, but you won't find it here. We appreciate you as a customer and don't want to be associated with any problems you may have with them.
I have seen, perhaps the largest television ad campaign for DA: O than for any release in YEARS. It's a shame that you couldn't have spent a little of that massive advertising budget on meeting your own, self imposed deadlines. In the end, how can you measure how much business you have lost due to this? This thread alone is reaching 200 pages and is being posted on by your disenfranchised customers every minute. Surely I am not the only one who has a bad taste in their mouth from this.
Thanks again for showing me how I am a valued customer.

I know that this is just more ranting, but how many of us could fail to complete our assigned duties at their assigned times at our jobs, or submit incomplete and/or incorrect work and expect to have no consequences?
Weather forecasters are exempt from this question...everyone knows they can be wrong every day and retain their employment.
Only because they are about as accurate as anyone can be. I.e they are the most accurate. Even though they are very inaccurate. If someone else was more accurate no one will tolerate their inaccuracy.
Which is why I find it interesting how nothing seems to make people angry when it comes to games. Delayed DLC, no patches, no communication are all okay. If you say it's not okay you are whinning.

well... I just feel ...disappointed. I was naive enough to believe that 'this holiday season' means this holiday season.
At least you know when they say they will have 2 years of DLC for ME2 or that ME2 will be super awesome and stuff you will discount what they say by half. Which is a good thing isn't it in the long run?

Ok, now Idon't usually post on forum but what the heck I have an oppinion on the issue of building peoples expectations... Ok now... creators of Dragon Age... Origins please please do not give us a release date if you cant keep your word. To some of us our word still means something ya know... also consider this... your not a public service... by this i mean your not the police or the nhs or my local council... but if any of these services said they were going to do something and didnt, they would get a complaint... now clearly you aint the same... but folks like us have spent our hard earned/saved money on your game... which we love, yes we really do... I have been playing rpg's for years and years and D.A.O is the best i have played yet... so please please keep to your word and if you aint ironed out the glitches dont give us a date...
Yes yes yes. I agree and agree again. At least I am not looking so insane now insisting they don't do pre mature announcements.
A private company has a tougher job keeping clients than public utilities, so every disappointment counts more. You can't shop around for police stations but you can shop around for games.

Thank God you have LucasArts breathing down your necks over your SW: KOTOR MMORPG coming soon. I fear that "Emperor Lucas" will be far less forgiving than we are.
Bahahaha! You wouldn't say that if you ever played Star Wars Galaxies.
Or saw how The Force Unleashed basically takes Lucas' story and urinates on it from a great height in order to bolster it's insipid Gary Stu of a main character.
No one pissed as much on the original star wars as lucas himself with "Mitichlorians". Biology majors all over the world must have died from laughing.

This DLC has become a PR disaster for Bioware.
Quite frankly, bollocks.
It's still the holidays until after New Year.
Yes, it would have been nice for someone at BioWare to give us an update, but bloody Hellfire, they are allowed time off too you know.
Now, once more for emphasis: bollocks.
One man's bollocks is another man's sheet and another man's gold.
Whinning about whinning is whinning still. Welcome to the club mate!
Oh and Cheers.

Interesting, you will show your customers a reply stating that you will willingly steal a product by downloading them. Oh sure, you will have some great attempt at a justification about how they have wronged you so horribly by not being keeping us informed minute by minute and how dare they have a delay when technically it's still considered a holiday season. Even if it's late it still happens, you have never told a customer that there was a delay/problem you could do nothing about? I know the answer is yes, it happens.
Now about the part in which you acknowledge that you would steal willingly and without remorse. Any customer with half a mind would not give you any business and would tell people about you. How could they know you aren't trying to screw them in some manner? You have just admitted to being a thief. People tend not to give money to untrustworthy people, you know, it's a matter of prinicple, you see. Not to mention people probably won't care in the slightest that BioWare got you upset, they just want to give you the money and get the game. I know that if a store I used was not stocking a game because one of the co-owners was making a point that kept me from buying it, I'd never ever give your store a dime. It's a matter of principle, you see. So please, tell us all the name of the great chain you have so we can start telling people why they should buy from someone who admitted they will steal games and not carry them because he has a problem with the company.
Edit - Lastly this thread is well under 150 pages, so claiming reaching 200 is jumping the gun. It probably will hit 200, but it may hit 350 as well.

Except in the 95% of the world that doesn't have Thanksgiving. There we consider "the holiday season" to mean Dec 24 through Jan 01. Which, I'm pretty sure, is what Bioware meant when they announced.darkshadow136 wrote...
Exactly my point in the Retail and consumer world the holiday season starts the day after thanksgiving through till December 24. So when Bioware tageted this holiday season they inferred that time frame.
No matter where in the world you are that celebrates the Holdays during this time of year. In the retail market do you release your item to capitaize on sales before Christmas to take advantage of the the time to get sales for revenue out of anyother time in the year. Or after Christmas when Most stores and online retaliers are getting flooded with returns. Thanksgiving is a mute point as being just a United states Holiday when whether you Celebrate Christmas or such you will most likely buy prior to this date not after.
After christmas is when people like me shop for discounted stuff. So it's a bad time to be lunching new stuff i would think.

In all seriousness, Torias should probably be fired by Bioware. I really don't think that's how Bioware wants to present itself; and if it is then I'll never buy another Bioware product again.
@Broken1477 Excellent post.
I vote for Torias to be removed as well. He has dont nothing except ask us not to whine on this thread and time and time again it's made clear that we think it's fun to whine about not being updated. And it's not like we're whinning over something unreasonable right.

Well don't forget it is Christmas. You have concede them the right to rest and spent some time with their families too. A computer game is certainly not so crucial that there is the need to staff a poor soul at the office during the holidays.
Just a guess, but they may have a real life.
Everyone has a life. That's why when i want to have a christmas I don't promise my boss i can finish it before year end unless i can finish it beginning of december. It's called under promising and over delivering.
Bioware for god's sake learn. The game industry is not as easy as it was moving. It's starting to become a real business. Slowly but surely.

Those of you that are complaining are really making it worse. Complaining about prolonged releases? Maybe they will stop releasing tidbits of information. Complaining about the price? They have to make money. Those of us that are interested in it would hate for Bioware to stop with the DLC because of some people's negative attitude.
Why not keep things here on a more positive note and explain your criticisms in a more productive manner?

Maybe he IS reading a book AND posting on this forum. You can do both you know? If your point is he needs a life. You're ignoring the fact that whinning on forums can be a fun life too. And that's again assuming you can't have a life AND post on this forums.
Whinning about whinning is not whinning?
Oh yah do you mean read a book or read a sex book? cause if it's the latter do you have any suggestions. Twilight? is that a good sex book?
