Constructive critiscism: great.
Bickering and arrogant ranting, like what keeps happening here: not so great.

I was going to let this go and patiently wait for the DLC to be available.. However, torches have already been lit and there is at least one guy here with a pitchfork, so okay, sure, I'm down for some righteous indignation and vigilantism. It's time to take a stand against this grave injustice being done to us. That, and complaining adds value to the game. When it comes out I can play the DLC for one hour, but if I'm angry I can spend virtually unlimited time with my diatribe right now for free.
Unfortunately, I can't let Broken2123134 lead the charge in this vigilantism.. as his moniker implies, he seems a bit damaged and our cause is much too important. Therefore I must one-up him. In my five chain stores, I will not only refuse to sell Bioware products, but I will go on further to sell the pirated copies that this broken fellow will no doubt be seeding for me via bittorrent.
It's time to take a stand against these companies which put product quality ahead of their marketing schedules. It seems we find more and more these days that decent, polished games and content are being released. This needs to end.. it's a threat to our schedules. Maybe if we hold the creative types' feet to the flames we can force them to churn out this release in time to bump forward the next schedule and the next game. Should we lose him to the harsh conditions, well.. we can always find some replacement. Maybe someone has a nephew who is good with computers and can be put to work writing dialogue or finishing a few character models.
…
In all seriousness, though. Bioware has put out a great product in DragonAge. I trust them to create this DLC properly and don't care about the schedule.

So making a DLC properly doesn't include it being on time? So what would break the trust? A sub par DLC? Just asking

To be honest, though, at this point I'm rather invested in the game, having run a couple of characters through it and virtually fallen in love with Leliana.. There would need to be something unfathomable to make me stop buying the DLC when they come out. Maybe if Bioware submitted a press release filled with racist comments and praise for Hitler's reich... maybe.

I think poor story or dialogue would be first for me, perhaps followed by an excessive number of flaws in the environment. I'd be a little disappointed if there was no new loot or characters.

I've been trying to download this DLC since a month ago when i mistakenly thought it was out. The wait is like darkspawn taint. Slowly killing me

Think with your heads for a sec. Yes I am disapointed it is not out yet as well. I would love to be doing my 10th run through. But it is NOT late. Bioware did not want to give us a specific release date because of all the players who would scream, "Burn them". So in their honesty they stated, "Holiday season" which says right there they can not, nor are they trying to give us a solid date.
The holidays are not over until Jan 2, 2010.
Come on people, think!
And if they are late? ... you will survive.
Why would you abandon something you loved just because it's late... So many of you like analogies here. Well have you dis-owned your parents? Girlfriends? Boyfriends? Spouse? Siblings? Friends? ... I'm sure all have been late in significant ways, yet you moved on there... and this is only a game, and you are ready to give up....
You don't realize how much you make yourselves look like a spoiled 2 year old who was told "No"

I don't get it... everyones argument against the DLC is that it is late. All these self entitled players claiming, "If they were late for work..." and the such; "then they would be fired."

When I heard that Dragon Age was going to have 2 years of DLC plus the insane replay value it already has I thought DA would keep me entertained all day every day but after 8.92ish playthroughs without any of the extra expansions out yet? Ehhhhh
I am now officially a WoW player with a lvl 16 Rogue , they are indirectly sending people to WoW lol
I now feel like that without a level cap raise and large expansion for DA:O the DLCs are basically going to be useless 20 min runs through a dungeon with characters that already beat the game and are max level and can't even go do anything with their newly looted equipment

" Based on some of the feedback in this thread, we made the decision to revisit Return to Ostagar and make some small improvements, including the addition of a new Ostagar-specific achievement/trophy and a reduction in the price. This has required a patch/title update and some additional testing and certification. This has pushed our dates back and I can confirm that the PS3 version will not arrive until the New Year. For PC and X360, we're still working hard to get it out in time for Christmas but we're not out of the woods quite yet. We'll put out another press release once we're 100% confident of the dates."
maybe with this information people will calm down. Most Likely RTO will be out Before or On the new years...I could be wrong But we just got to wait and see.

uhm... There are already two expansions out. Sure they came out immediately but that's still two expansions for a game that's only been out a short time. Most games are lucky to get their first decent add-on within six months of release.
