Now, some thoughts... Instead of paying 5€ for a small DLC (invlvolving some new locations and a extension of gameplay of about 30 minutes) I´ll gladly pay 20-40€ for a TOTAL new campaign, new story or whatever... but more interested about a BIG DLC that will keep me glued to my screen for 10-20 hours.... I know it´s hard to do, many time involved in this kind of projects.... bu harder things have been achieved in this crazy videogames industry.

Amen to that. I don't really agree with milking the pockets of the end user with frivelous content. As of right now I don't feel the content that has been released is as such, but I believe that's the direction DAO is heading (especially in the hands of EA). I certainly hope they have some legitimate content being created in the background while they throw bones at the community.

Amazing how childish can act some individuals because of a delay of an add-on to an excellent game... IMHO in the Top5 of the greatest REAL RPG´s in history... I´ll never consider some called "ActionRPG´s" as RPG´s... NEVER! Bring me Depth on the Gameplay and repercusions of my decissions instead of an annoying Hack&Slash Pseudo-RPG.

I agree. I would also pay more for an expansion. I think it would be a great idea. I do not agree with any "legitimate" fortune 500 company to promise something that they cannot deliver. Maybe Im just differant than the rest of the world there but the way I was raised keeping your promises is part of having good character, reliability, and landing a good job.... If a enterprise such as EA and Bioware cannot keep theirs then how can they expect anyone they hire to be honost? Especially their marketbase!

This does not sound like a real fan but a BioWare fanboy. There is a difference.

Why Return to Ostagar is not released yet
Answer is: because WE asked more quality, more stuff inside and cheaper price they made some modifications (just like WE asked) and they have promised that it will be out in this holiday season. That seem to be until 2.1.2010 so do we have more "Questions about Return to Ostagar?".
Another question seem to be: why bioware do not write here now anything. I bet answer is: they are too busy trying to make this "Return to Ostagar" before holiday season is over (2.1.2010) and I have a feeling that some of them might had a day or two off because of X-mas and weekend..
Anyone have other real questions or we can read next 20 pages same questions until Return to Ostagar is released and people are happy but forget to say "thank you Bioware"?

Guess we'll see when it'll be out. One holiday season here is already pretty much over, will end at midnight today, guess they have significantly longer holiday seasons then. Then again, they didn't explicitly mention which holiday season, heck it may be even midsummer holidays in coming year, heh.

I meant I would show them Torias'
ridiculously callous and sarcastic, non-customer-friendly reply. As to
the use of my personal computer, that is my business. .......................................................
or the retailer/manufacturer who has trained you like a puppy to accept
poor service and like it.
Interesting, you previous reply said ANYTHING with a BioWare label, but you really meant DLCs so you could act righteous about me mentioning pirating. Sorry I have
no music files that I downloaded on my computer, or other things for
that matter, that I shouldn't. I'm terribly uncool in that regard and
I hear about if from all my frieds.
I fail to see the apples to apples comparison of laptops and games. The
poor customer service with a product you may have to send in for
repairs and can be exponentially more money. But I unserstand the
point your shooting for.
I will agree that the reply could have
been handled more professionally, but make mistakes and occasionally
react to customers in an unprofessional manner. Of course if you have
never ever done that, I appluad you.
Serioulsy though, you'v enever been short or overly curt with the
customer that calls you 4 times a day everyday eventhough you said it
would be 'X' number of days? Or the customer that contacts you
repeatedly for something that will come during a certain amount of
time, like a holiday season?
As for nothing being out of your
control ever, I will applaud you, that's fairly lucky. I spent many
years in a managerial capacity at a car dealer. Granted they are rare,
but they happen. Special order parts that came as the wrong item or we
are told they have them in the distribution center, but they aren't or
another dealer placed the request for us. We
wouldn't find that out about 12 hours. Yeah, it's a stupid system.
The worst which has happened twice in my career is a person orders a
car and it finally arrives at the lot at night and the trasportation
guy nails his ramp or something and screws up the bumper. Now we gave
teh customers 2 options, either a whole new bumpercover and a nice
rental car or use of a preowned car or take another grand off the price
of another order. Sure we could have sent it to the body shop for a
quick fix, but no matter how good a job is done in the right light it
will be seen. That was out of my control, all I could do was apologize and be sympathetic.
Ah yes, big business and their crooked promises of riches and the government. Not exactly a fair comparison but I see the point. Especially if I forget all those people that really thought it was honest dealing.
I'm confused about the whole E. coli thing and Wal-Mart. That's just reaching. Backorders
and out of stock are parts of life and you can do nothing about them.
I will call before I go if it's a hot item or just take my chances. To
give you an example. I will not use the
small auto parts store chain in my area, do to the fact that the owner
doesn't like the fact that a motor oil brand has such terrible
contigency money for racers. He would not order it for me. So I figured I'd go a little out of my way to someone who would rather get me what I want and use that person for everything.
I figures by your threat to not stock their products in your stores that you thought that would make a large enough difference for them to care.
Maybe I'm completely wrong for 'chastising' you, but I see it as there was a not totally professional reply from someone with tiny amounts of power, who may have a bad day or not enjoy doing what they do. It happens. They could still very well get it out in the holiday season. Sure, they aren't letting us know everything, but it's there choice and it is what it is. I guess I just think it's extremely childish to make threats about hurting their bottom dollar in some way. You know that's what the claim about your business was plain and simple. You would have a chance if you are the purchaser for Fry's or Gamestop certainally. As well as I don't see why the complaining can't be held until the 2nd, when it would really be late.
That's it for my daily epically long post.

Not really childish. I think that people EXPECT to play during their christmass vacation. I won't die if it is not ready. But, like any consumers...i am disappointed. That is all.
Good luck Bioware team. Wish you well.

How much work does one small DLC take anyway... Not like it'll be some extensive DLC with several areas, with many new items, with quest chains, several new chars and what not. By all the data given so far it'll be fairly small add-on with small amount of content (which won't affect the gameplay at all and is totally optional), how buggy must it be if it takes so long time to polish it? This "available during holiday season" label has been hanging there for many weeks already. If there was at least some update on this then I'd be fine but nothing.
Guess we'll see when it'll be out. One holiday season here is already pretty much over, will end at midnight today, guess they have significantly longer holiday seasons then. Then again, they didn't explicitly mention which holiday season, heck it may be even midsummer holidays in coming year, heh.
I might be looking into this a little too much, but I bet Bioware recieved so many complaints about making small and meaningless DLCs since the main game has been released that they probably decided to add more to Ostagar and shine it up a little more before releasing. I bet it was already finished a while ago, but because of the backlash from Wardens Keep, ect. that they decided to build it up a little more. They know that this particular DLC would have a lot of impact on how customers view future downloadable content. Another half-baked attempt at making quick money just might turn people off and hurt them too ealry in Dragon Ages life cycle. I wouldnt be surprised to find out oif it gets pushed back to February...

Some people seem to assume that the delay was cause they added content when Bioware already posted that the reason why they lowered the price is cause there was no added content.
See bioware. Release late again will you?

It'll be funny what people will say when it turns out that they didn't add anything to ostagar other than achievements.

Seems as though I remember Rob specifically saying that they weren't lowering the price and adding new content because we couldn't have both. So they lowered the price and added an achievement instead. Not more content, an achievement. So yeah, I agree that it'll be rather amusing when people finally realize this.
