If we don't hear an announcement today, it isn't likely to show up tomorrow. If it doesn't show up tomorrow, we aren't likely to see it until after New Years. That's a lot of "likey," I know. And since DLCs are fairly new for DAO, maybe we'll see them anyways...

It flat out sucks that PC and XBox have to wait for Sony. It's absurd.

Wonder what the people who are saying "Holiday Seasons are not over yet" going to say once january comes and there is still no word from anyone.

Bioware I've got a suggestion. Discount the DLC by another $1 (from teh already planned discount) as an apology for not posting any updates. You'll be instantly forgiven in my books :)

How about, "Now, its late." It would be late then,

Really. The game itself was delayed how long? Unfortunately, large amounts of organic bovine digestive by-products do occur. Its happened before, its happened to more companies than Bioware/EAbioware, and it will happen again. I don't even expect them to offer a discount at this point. It isn't late. And the company doesn't owe me a detailed minute by minute breakdown of everything they are doing.

If the problem is certification, is anyone complaining to the "certifier" that they take too long? Threatening lawsuits and telling them that this delay justifies pirating the game? Or just ranting to rant on EABioware's forums, who doesn't control either Sony or Microsoft? If they did say anything at this point, it would be dissected under a microscope, instantly taken out of context, misquoted, and end up causing more of an uproar than there is now.

I've said before that my daydream is that a company won't announce anything until it goes gold. An announcement is made "Hey people! We made this game, here's the info on the characters, the story, the combat, and the magic. These are the screenshots. Here are the system requirements for the pc. We think its really good. Its gone gold. Hope you enjoy it." It won't happen, but hey, its a daydream.

I share the same daydream. Stupid microsoft for starting their whole vapour ware technique of discouraging other companies from developing software. Announce early even if you got nothing so maybe the smaller companies will give up instead of competing with you

A game doesn't really have a competitor. You can't have 2 operating systems at one time but you sure can have more than one game. So why do they still announce early? Doesn't it only just cause disappointment.

I for one never new about dragon age until it was available in the stores and man was the surprise great.

It is a real shame but in one of those twists of fate the same reason so many people have time to play the game and looking forward to the DLC is the same reason its not getting out. We all have time off over the festive period. So I really hope they either go ahead with Sony or Sony pull their fingures out so we can see the update.

Yeah well ... thing is just they made a big do about their DLCs and how DA will be regularly supported by DLCs for over one year.

As of now we do not even have ONE reasonable DLC that wasn't available from the beginning or even included in some deluxe edition. I mean I delayed playing for quite some time (meaning not not playing, but playing slowly, but even so the end draws near) to NOT finish the game before some DLCs come out, but if it continues in this vein I will just finish the game and not care about the DLCs anymore and I planned on buying them all.

Yeah, yeah, yeah I could replay the game just so I can ALSO play 2 hours of DLC or what, but frankly I have more going on in my life than wasting my time for that. And yes, you can all flame me to death and say you don't care, but Bioware should care anyway because its supposedly their brand spanking new, oh so great buisness modell and it is a buisness modell which is about to fall flat on its face, because I'm sure that a significant amount of DA customers just won't care anymore if it continues in this trend ... maybe not now, but with the next DLC or the next.

P.S. Maybe it would be more clever to do it like Fallout 3 and create DLCs that play AFTER the main game and not DURING the main game, because those will be interessting even for those who have finished the game once or twice ...

ok lets listen to the democrats get upset over the Obamanation... just sayin we the consumer doesnt matter anymore cause big gov will bail them out financialy when they dont deliver... so yea the president does afflict everything consumer based.. plus the main point U bama lovin crats missed was that rob and company totally forgot about the people who matter. FYI the consumer- so i guess nobody on vay-k knows how to use there mobile to get intergrated feedback from the largest testing and feedback response group anywhere.. the joes with min wage dollars for hard earned games.. i think we got forgot bout cause most complain at every chance.. guess the mainstream wants to buy DA PART DUECE with whole new story line and hundred hours game play for 5 bucks but thats IS REDICULOUS and prolly why ur all getting ignored..

I'm not understanding your reasoning here. The plan was for one to two years of DLC. If you're not going to replay the game, how was this plan going to benefit you anyway?

As well, the Warden's Keep was the first DLC for the game. The only reason it was available on launch day was because of the delay in the PC launch. The game's not even two months old, and there's another DLC on the way. There has been a minor delay due to technical issues (and yes, it's only a minor delay). I just don't see the problem here.

Well, I don't exactly know where I stand on this matter. For one, I like the idea of multiple, brief DLCs that take place before the ending of the game. For two, I surely would like to see a full-fledged expansion that takes place after the epilogue.

Nobody will bail out a video game company. How is the collapse of a video game company supposed to unravel the financial markets like a bank will?

Too big to fail? Bioware? Are you kidding me?

Whether a company has good customer service has nothing to do with
which party is in office. You mean u get tax credits for good customer
service? no yah?

Your understanding of what you are ranting about is astounding.

yeaaaah... No spoilers but there's a reason the DLC takes place before the ending.

Well dao can't work like an mmo, keeping you constantly playing for a year or more by adding content, its a long game but not designed this way, i feal sorry for those who realy expected something like that..many people will stop playing after return to ostagar(or sooner) and maybe play it again sometime later when plenty of content is released(or not). And daydreamers should expect even more adds in the future, it's EA after all, i don't like the way they do it(too heavy and too much focus on sex and violence when there is much more) well except for those cgi trailers.

So you guys don't like violence but you bought a game with a trailer that has more blood than a B slasher movie?

It's weird that when you decapitate someone, the head just dissapears...

Wut...

And bodies should never disapear.

And blood needs to go on the walls and the floor as well, not only on characters -.-

So if your not playing for violence than are you playing for life lesson. Such as "it is okay to abandon your child and then go back to your normal life after" or maybe "it okay to have sex with a demon i am sure aids isn't a loop hole". But the most heart warming lesson of all is that "if your a bastard child the best way to get your father inheritance is to wait til his real son is dead kill your father best friend and bring your own friend to say that you deserve it". Best life lesson ever.

all those little trailers made me think: thats not appealing, i only give it a shot because its from bioware
and still i expected to be dissapointet and it took several hours playing to convince me how good this game is.
The sacred ashes cgi trailer on the other hand was just well done, showing good quality and choreography(just like the old republic trailer).

And i never said i don't like violence or sex lol, i just don't like it
when there seems to be nothing else, especialy in an rpg. Take mass
effect 2 subject zero and grunt don't show much depth at the moment(while
i'm sure there is more behind zero), thane on the other hand is
interesting enough to take a closer look(i will do it anyway just
because its a mass effect sequel) while all 3 don't hesitate to
kill.
