To put things into perpective for those that don't like the cost...
How long would $5 last you at Dave and Busters? Not an hour, i'm sure.
Not only do I see this cost as a purchase of additional content/lore, but I also see it as an investment towards the future of this game (expansions and such).
$50 lasted me 55+ hours and counting.
Why must $5 only last me 1?
Hell, I'd get it if it was $2.50-$3.50, but not $5.

An hour sounds good for me. You people take too long to complete the game anyway. I can do it in around 33 hours.

I'm curious if there will be different plot revelations depending on if you have Alistair or Loghain in your party.
Yes, he hinted at such things in one of the earlier posts... maybe page 1 or 2.

It's nice how Dragon Age has all of this dlc. Not like the two downloads for Mass Effect.....

Some of us are in no rush to complete the game and are taking our time to get every bit of content we can find.

Are there any plans to address the lack of a Combat Log and spell descriptions etc. Essentially bringing back some numbers to the game? Please provide even a simple yes or no answer, as if it's a no then I'll use my own time to incorporate these myself.

As for the achievements not working for some of our Day 1 content, that's another long story but the basics are that testing occurs on separate development server and then gets pushed to Microsoft's public servers at time of launch. Unfortunately, we blew the timing on that and there was a window of time when players were playing our Day 1 content yet the achievements hadn't fully propagated to the public servers and therefore didn't trigger successfully. It sucks, we're upset about it, but it's fixed now.
Can you elaborate on this please? It may be fixed for people playing NOW, but for those of us that unlocked achievements on Day 1 it is most certainly NOT FIXED as these achievements are not unlocked, and cannot be re-unlocked in order to get them to work. As far as many many XBox gamers are concerned, this is NOT FIXED at all.
As for the inclusion of achievements in smaller PRC such as this, that's been a subject of internal debate for us actually. We made the decision not to include an achievement for Return to Ostagar but perhaps we'll have to reconsider that for future content. Clearly it's something that a lot of Xbox users in particular consider to be of value.
Terrible idea. Simply terrible.
I don't think it's a stretch to say that fully 50% of "potential" DLC purchasers on XBox are swayed by the inclusion of achievements in the DLC. The lack of them is very often cited as a reason for not purchasing the content. Don't be surprised if this content sells poorly on the 360. Especially given the debacle with the first DLC.

Seriously, I know people who will play movie games and attrocities like that just to increase their gamerscore.
It's disgusting, but if you want to sell DLC on xbox LIVE you NEED to put in achievements.

And as for the story, how large are the scope of "providing closure to Ostagar story" will be? If our story already past the point where several villains (Loghain Mac Tir, Rendon Howe, and Cauthrien) are dead, how are we going to exact vengeance from these people? (Well, if we can bring them back to life and torture them to a slow death for 20 minutes or more with their scream or plea for mercy, count me in) No, I am not satisfied with those idiots' death at all. What they got in the campaign is too good for them.

From what I have seen on the addon page, the new sword and armor set are pretty much retextured starfang and chevalier armor. So far I am not really excited for the loot. Will there be new item models in this one?

I think they were refering more to Duncan and others. Remember Alister would like one day to give him a funeral

There's a limited # of gamerscore points a single game can give, and a limited # it can add through DLC. Sure they can prolly get an exception from microsoft, but it's still there, and something to consider.

Yes, I do remember that, but how exactly he will give Duncan a funeral if Morrigan's account on the battlefield is correct (Corpses eaten)??
Come to think of it, wouldn't "liberating" king's arms and armor from his body make Loghain's accusation on the Grey Wardens for being traitors even more convincing in the plebeians' eyes??

I paid $60 for call of duty. About a six hour campaign.
Too bad that's only a third of the game, with the spec ops co-op and the multiplayer, which is the highlight of the series. Sigh.

I can't really argue with you there. I loved the spec ops missions. I have all but 6 stars. Stupid juggernauhts.

for f.ucks sake! WHAT DONT YOU PPL UNDERSTAND ABOUT GENERAL DISCUSSION NO SPOILERS ALLOWED? God dammit...So now I know this traitor can be in my party later ingame...wtf?
you people...
Secundo:
About armour - as I understand this is the loot for pc, yes? DUMBEST IDEA ever...imo. What justifies retriving kings armour and put it on onself? To bring back the armour and place in the tomb/grave/memento display, that's understandable, but to treat it as loot? And what about damage the armour recived when an ogre crushed Cailan (sp?)? Do we have a handy anvil close by and skills for repair? I wonder. As far as I'm concerned this is not logical and thought through.
To keep it short: kings armour as remembrance - yes,
as a new armour set to use - NO. I will change my opinion if this is well justified in the dlc's plot.
