I don't experiecve bugs, .. I wonder: what is to fix?
Yes you do, you just don't pay attention (apparently). Ever try to use an item that gives +__% to healing effects received? it doesn't do jack. Daggers don't do damage appropriately, the game uses 100% of your CPU all the time, etc etc etc etc. the list goes on and on.
With the pricing I was being facetious, of course I didn't pay $77, my point stands however.
I realise that there are people out there experiencing more severe game-breaking bugs than I am (some quest givers showing hand-in icons after the quest is completed or an icon for a new quest when there is no quest to collect and such--and one quest that seems to never clear out of my journal if I don't do it exactly like the game wants me to.. in other words nothing game-breaking for me), but your 'point stands' in my eyes, if you say that you paid $57 and are waiting for bug fixes that ruin your game experience (due to it not being playable). How long was it again since this was released, close to 3 weeks we could say? We have had one minor patch already, and it was stated earlier in the topic that they have another one in final testing stages wich should be released soon. Why are you negative towards a new DLC? Please don't say you are one of those people who imagine that since a DLC is coming, they are not having another team that prioritize bug and stability fixing? Those people needs to look through the credits of major games. It's not 5 people who does everything.
Anyways, for one, nobody forces you to pay any money for the DLC to get it, until bugs and stability issues you can't play with are sorted. And secondly, why does nearly everyone that wants to start discussing prices bring in The Stone Prisoner--wich is free with new retail purchases of DA:O? I am in fact getting a bit annoyed by it, considering it is not a valid point in an calculation when it is provided to you for free. It has a 'market value' if you buy the game second hand, but if you do so (wich causes the developer/publisher to lose money) I think it is only fair you'll need to dish out $15 to get the DLC if you really want it. It is a perfectly fine tactic to make sure they can earn a little money on used copies that might circulate too, when we who buy it retail get it included in our price. I am curious, since you are one of the people that brings it into calculations, as to why you included it. Elaborate and enlighten me, please. (Not trying to be sarcastic here, I really do want to know why.)
As I said, I am aware there are people with issues, but as with most games on the PC (god bless the platform, I find it to be superior to my consoles), it is bound to be hardware and driver combinations and issues that is harder to foresee. I in example on my Intel Quad 3.67Ghz CPU are having a load of about 25% most of the time and it goes up to about 50% in the somewhat larger scale battles. I have actually checked it, as I typically check when I get new games what performance and strain I get on my system. I experience a few minor bugs here and there, and I am sure within a little while, it will have gone lengths towards having most of them sorted. It hasn't been that long since it was released.
